Had that issue happen about 300 mi away from home base. Long story short, drove back on the highway with a garbage bag and a lot of duct tape. Ford found the problem was control fuse in the master switch and replaced it under warranty.

What would a reputable mechanic fee be to replace them before they start to go? Would you recommend swapping before the 30k marker?

Usually you just need to pull the handle that makes your wipers and spray turn on for a couple seconds and you're good to go. Enjoy your truck!

It's kind of that easy. First timer and it took about 8 hours between (overkill probably) sanding, trip(s) to home Depot, spraying two coats and cleanup. The stuff sticks well and did not need as aggressive sanding. Key is to take the time to properly tape up and enjoy the process.

Congrats! Hilarious and helpful. Personally went with the spray in but after all the headache would go with drop in for future purchases. Enjoy your new ride!

That's awesome!! The idea is modular to many options besides a kitchen. How did you attach the slides to the base of the bed? From photo it looks like 4 screws into the bed - mine only has holes closer to the cab and would appreciate if you can give instructions that a five year old can...
