Here's my advice. Don't post on FB. Plain and simple. There's a lot of crybabies on there and a lot of non-Maverick owners that are there to bash this fantastic truck. I found that out myself, and stopped posting on FB. I deleted all of the Maverick pages on FB, then decided to just delete FB entirely. Life is so much better w/o it!
Too many Politic babies there. Many can't do simple math, you can't expect them to understand what a Maverick is.

I'm in the "why post on facebook?" club. Delete it from your phone and be amazed at the increased battery life. You don't need a new phone battery, you need less social media.

Like the OP, I live in rural WNC (a half hour from Asheville). I've had a very different experience. But then I'm not on social media. I just meet people in real life. Aside for a few early "is that a Maverick" questions a few years back, nobody around here notices the Maverick, cares about the Maverick, or abuses the Maverick. It just sort of blends into the background. Frankly, Mavericks are everywhere here. People seem to get what they are and why we bought them.

It might help that Mavericks are very popular here - I usually see at least one a day, sometimes several. The neighbor across the road has one.
Same goes for here in South Florida. They're everywhere. I usually see several a day myself. They've gotten to the point where they've been on the market for so long that it's no longer a rarity. Almost any educated buyer knows what they are and the reasoning for buying one. Although I have a very vivid color (Hot Pepper Red) I don't seem to get any comments whatsoever, neither good nor bad. It just blends in although I know exactly where to find it in a parking lot 😁

The only bad comment I've gotten was from a former co-worker's boyfriend a couple of years ago. He called it a minivan with a bed. Just recently my best friend was suggesting to me that I trade it in for a Kia and told him no since the truck will be very beneficial in the long run. He sarcastically asked, "What are you gonna haul in a four foot bed, lol?" First of it's 4.5 feet. Second, I defended it and said that you can haul a decent amount of household furniture with it such as shelves, dressers, entertainment sets, etc. Plus I've used it for yard waste/dump runs and a couple of donation runs. As a matter of fact, he wants me to use it to load a generator for his mom and I told him, "You can't do that in a Kia!" He shut up real quick! And right now Kia doesn't even offer a truck, at least not for the U.S. market. There is that new Tasman overseas but I doubt it'll make it over here.

Only that which I give to myself for not ordering the Maverick in 2022 with AWD and 4K Tow Package.

I've asked myself if I want another Maverick and bounce between loving it and wanting something else with a few more creature comforts.

If I decide to get a Subaru later on down the line, does that make me a lesbian? My daughter (also not a lesbian) loves hers.

There's really only one person that has (and still does) give me grief. Most people I meet are curious and ask how I like it. I've heard more times than I can remember "I really wanted one but couldn't find one that wasn't marked way up" or something along those lines.

They are everywhere now in my area. Even short trips to the store I usually see another one. They are no longer a novelty, but it doesn't at all diminish what a thoughtful, practical design it is.

The only time I've posted a pic on FB was in a Ford Maverick group. No issue there.

Streetlooks are all that matter. There are a bunch of Mavericks in my area now. Spoke to many and let one "test" drive my hybrid waiting for theirs to be built.

I've posted a few pics of my new Maverick in different posts on Facebook. Almost every time someone will comment on how bad of a vehicle it is, it's garbage, waste of money, blah blah blah. Tesla gets lots of hate too but why the hate on a Maverick lol? It doesn't really bother me but just curious if anyone else hears this BS.
First, they didn't want to wait almost a year to get one, second if they go to a dealer with one available it'll probably have a 5k or more markup, and an arrogant salesman too. And finally, you can afford one and can afford to wait till yours is built. Envy is never a pretty thing. I guess what I'm really saying is "People Suck" Nuff said:)

Owned my truck 9 months today and never a negative comment. Of course I do not do FakeBook or any other so called "social" media platforms so those keyboard queens gotta find someone else to hate.

I can't imagine giving two flips about the uneducated opinions of total strangers on the internet. They have nothing invested, and nothing on the line; the ONLY one that has to consider whether or not my truck is adequate for me is me...

That said, I don't hang out much on social media - but I have noticed "big" trucks like to crowd me in parking lots. I guess they like to make their truck seem even bigger. Cool, cool... 🤷‍♂️
