Why hold out? It's not a unknown vaccine. LOL.

I just had the second round of recalls done (brake lights, shifting to neutral, and the engine blowing up). Seems like they also massaged the previous recalls as well. My truck still had a bit of a low speed braking jolt, and now it's toned down to a slight tap I can feel in the brake pedal. Engine on/off seems smoother as well, but the engine still doesn't shut down every time during braking like you'd expect.

Not a ‘22, but I have a ‘23 hybrid that is due for its 1 year service next month. I have 3 software (and no mechanical) recalls outstanding. From reading the forum, it looks like the updated updates are now working correctly. But except for deep sleep my truck works perfectly and I too am reluctant to gamble.

my Maverick is working fine without the recalls being done. Except for the grabby brakes I got a software fix for that. Everything else remains to be seen. Why fix something that ain't broken?

Why rewrite bad software? So you have the correct version before an issue pops up.

At the rate recalls are coming it's hard to keep up. 🤣 I've done all the ones that came out before January 2024, including the airbags. I've had none of the ones that cause trucks to go into limp mode.

I have a 22 Lariat hybrid, did the brake shudder update, which worked. And did the airbag update. That’s all the updates I’ve done. I don’t use the Ford app on my phone, turned it off in the truck. Zero issues with my Maverick, 24,000 miles.

Brake light issue is an important safety issue and software should be updated. Dumb to not do it.

I opened the automatic updates choice on the tombstone, I'm hoping it will fix itself. I hate Big Brother watching where I go, how long I stay there and probably analyzing my breath, whether I have GSR on my hands or if I fondled a muscle car.

I did all four in one day and then I drove a 400 mile round-trip to the airport. Everything is fine so far except for the lastfit bulbs.

I meant I got ford mobile service to do the software update to fix the grabby brakes
That's a start. Thankfully I never had that issue.
