Judging by all these trucks going limp after getting the software recalls, is it safe to say to hold off on getting the updates? Must say it’s quite concerning that this is happening to so many people.
I’m up to date and no issues. No brake grab and no deep sleep mode.

What do you mean by it’s surging? It wasn’t doing that before the recall? Did you say anything to ford about it?
When sitting at a red light, the truck doesn't sit "quietly". The RPMs aren't revving, but it feels like its stopped on a bridge that's bouncing. Someone on here mentioned something similar and said it almost feels like the truck is trying to overcome the brakes (like what happens when the e brake is on and you gently apply the gas to drive off).
It's never started to creep forward, but I'm not happy with the feeling.

I’ve never experienced any surging in 2022 hybrid

Thanks for this link, very interesting! I have had all the recalls serviced, they pickup my truck and return it the same or next day (except for the month long one after it died on the freeway). The last one where the engine might fail is still waiting for their fix.

Just hold off. It's not the first recall and it's not the last. You'll be reminded that you bought a Ford for a long, long time. Might as well take care of them in batches. 😉
My sentiments exactly. We have three outstanding recalls on our 2022 Mav Hybrid right now. Two are software mods that can wait until the next service appt, and the other is 25S27 that requires parts that are not yet in large supply. We'll be notified when they can do that one.

My '22 hybrid is going in for the emission control and turn signal outage detection recalls tomorrow. It's time for an oil change, anyway. Fingers crossed.

At the last oil change it had the side airbag recall and the grabby brake TSP done with no issues. I'll be caught up except for the "engine fire" recall that has no fix yet.

I've had all the recalls done with absolutely no problems.

Yeah, my 22 XL Hybrid is doing that now too. Had 12V harness work done a few months ago. They were supposed to look into why my USB port function is intermittent and Apple CarPlay also goes in and out, but that is still happening.

I do not plan to get any of the recalls done on my late 2023 built Maverick, I have had only minor issues with the radio so if its not broke don't fix it.

My favorite recall was the airbag recall on my 2011 fusion hybrid, the tech found all sorts of gum wrappers tickets, coins, receipts etc and left them in a tidy pile for me on the passenger side, these were artifacts all from the previous owners. I guess they have to roll the dash out to get to the passenger airbag inflator and thats where he found all the junk.

Are you saying that some Mavericks need a little blue pill?

I keep telling Ford that my door isn't a jar! it is a door!
Always wondered why it doesn't just say "door is open"...
How do they know if it's cracked or open, especially when the damn thing displays the same for both methods? Open is still ajar... Just saying.
