My 2022 hybrid Lariat is going in for an oil change tomorrow. Has Ford worked out the gremlins with the recalls yet?

I think they have, at least for my 23 XLT hybrid. I had PCM/BCM recalls done early March. Had 2 "limp mode" episodes soon after. Received recall updates early June and things seem good.

I just did my most recent two software updates earlier this week after waiting too. Crossing fingers….

I had 20K oil change service yesterday and let them do the recalls (there were 4 on mine, 2023 XLT). So far, no trouble on the drive home or the drive into work today. They took the antenna off for some reason and didn't put it back on, which I am not miffed about because I got to see that it is a standard SMA connection, I don't know why I expected something more...proprietary? Curious why they took it off though, is there some data transfer or validation through the antenna port?

What did they do for the 20k service and do we have to have it performed to keep Ford Warranty folks happy? I will try to look up the 20k service myself in the meantime

I'll be honest, I don't know the details.

The service manual says:
here's what happens at your 20,000 miles checkup
  • Replace cabin air filter, if equipped.
  • Inspect brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, brake linings, hoses and parking brake.
  • Inspect engine cooling system level, strength and hoses.
  • Inspect exhaust system and heat shields.
  • Inspect half-shaft boots.
  • Inspect steering linkage, ball joints, suspension, tie-rod ends, drive shaft and U-joints. Lubricate if equipped with grease fittings.
  • Inspect the automatic transmission fluid level (if equipped with a dipstick). Consult your dealer for requirements.
  • Inspect the wheels and related components for abnormal noise, wear, looseness or drag.
  • Perform multi-point inspection.
  • Rotate the tires, inspect tire wear and measure tread depth.
Whether they did all this or not, I can't say for certain, but I'll assume yes. For me the oil life meter it getting into 10-15% territory around the 10k miles mark so it has aligned to get the oil change and tire rotate and any other scheduled service; which thus far appears to be just inspections. There was nothing additional they recommended to me, and if I have a cabin air filter I don't think they replaced it... I didn't pay them anything anyways.
