My wife’s ‘16 Crosstrek doesn’t have blind spot mirrors. That’s the only thing I don’t like about it. I stuck an ugly spot mirror on the passenger mirror after a close call.
My ‘12 Focus had excellent blind spot mirrors. I got all the safety options on the ‘24 Maverick.

Well, not really.

I've used my Maverick for work as a field service tech since day one and after 2 years 4 months and 125k miles, she's going to get a break.
Work decided that it's best(for the company of course) if we get fleet cars. Enter 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Premium. I have to say, she rides and drives nice. She doesn't have BLIS like my Mav so first thing I got was a blind spot mirror. She does have ACC. My first ever and I love it! Now I see why you guys that had it but didn't get on your Mav say you miss it. But talk about trusting your equipment, that takes some getting used to.

I'm going to miss driving the Mav. I'm especially going to miss the mileage reimbursement.

All things considered, would you buy a Mav again, perhaps when your work no longer provides a fleet vehicle?

Hey man, could you please provide us with periodic updates as to how it's doing? As someone who's dealt with a ton of stress lately, and who gets very nervous seeing all of these people having issues on the forums, seeing stories like yours helps to calm me down, and realize it's not all bad. Thank you.

How are your hubs and CV's holding up so far? I'm guessing it's mostly highway miles and not a lot of crazy bumps and such like with my driving on terrible MT roads, but that's right about the mileage where I try to inspect and monitor for play in that kind of stuff.

My previous cars got about the same mileage you average per year and thankfully I don't have to drive like that anymore. I think I'll hit the 8 year mark before I reach the 125k limiter on my warranty. Very happy about that.

It is nice to see your Maverick handling the highway miles so well though. Hopefully you get much more out of it! LETS GO 300K!

I’ll die before I put 50,000 on my 2022🤪
Our trucks are gonna last forever at this rate. Our explorer is 8 yrs old with only 30k on it. It's had at least a dozen oil changes. I keep saying I should change the transmission fluid and engine coolant and my dealer techs keep telling me there's no need yet 😂.

I would be curious to see what is causing some people's CV axles to fail early on. A lot of people seem to be going off-road, so that could be part of it.

I had a 1998 Explorer that I got rid of last year. Was my hunting truck but the trans would not go into park anymore. Sold it for $600 on Craigslist.

I've read that Subaru is the #1 make for ownership by lesbians, especially the Forester. Totally serious. I didn't even know they gathered statistics like that.

I had ACC on a work truck (2023 Ranger XLT) and frankly, I didn't like it. I didn't like how it would slow down as I come up on a slower car, but I especially didn't like how it reacted when a slower car moved out of the way and the ACC 'punched' the accelerator to get back up to speed. I could virtually see money flying out of the tailpipe every time it happened. On a light-traffic road, it was okay; on a busy rush hour road I had to disable it.

My wife loves her Forester...we never bought into that myth, anyway.
