Thanks for the info. Seems like almost all of these things listed are activated when you add the ACC/Lane Centering. The thing I personally would like to add from CoPilot 360 is the Blind Spot warning. Has anyone actually done that, and if so, what specific hardware and wiring did you have to add to make it work?
FWIW, CoPilot 360 blind spot monitor requires installation of both tail light assemblies that have the 'radar' built in. They are not cheap.
The word BLIS comes to mind, but I don't remember the details.

An update on my ACC installation. Over the last week I did a long road trip from California to Iowa and back. Having ACC made the trip much easier. But a problem came up with the CCM going offline. First occurrence was in Las Vegas. CCM went offline several times through Vegas area. Temperature was 82 to 83 degrees outside. It would go off for maybe 30 seconds and then come back. After that, worked perfectly for rest of the trip with outside temps as high as 86 to 87. On the return trip, working great till I got into the California deserts. Started going off at about 93 degrees and never came back with temps up to 106. As soon as I got closer to the coast and temps dropped below 92, CCM came back online and worked perfectly for remainder of the trip. When the CCM went offline I didn't even have the basic cruise control. Those several hours in the desert were not fun. Before the trip, I also noticed that if the sun was shining directly on the CCM, it would go offline till I got moving and it cooled off.

I am thinking that the harness I made using Cat 5 cable is not up to the task. Maybe the heat causing too much resistance in the wire. But then why the problem at 82 to 83 degrees? Not sure about that. Also wondering if I need to do another calibration. Hoping the CCM is not defective

If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate your help.

By harness, do you mean all of your wiring from the CCM into your truck cabin is cat 5 cable?

Please rip that out and start over with appropriate automotive wire.

Yes, I used the cat 5 cable because that is what the original poster of this thread had used. I figured if it worked for him, then it must be ok. I wrapped it in wiring harness cloth tape to protect it but always wondered why he used it instead of some kind of automotive wiring. I have already decided to redo that harness with something more suitable but I am not completely convinced that is the answer to my problem. Thanks for your input!

I don't think that the wire is necessarily the problem, but in redoing the harness you will likely find where the bad connection was

I have had my ACC working for a couple of weeks now and I am very happy with it. We have a 2018 Honda Accord that has it with lane centering and I really wanted it on the Maverick also. But the 2022 model XLT did not have that as an option. Only the Lariat had it and I did not want to spend the over $3,000 extra on the Lariat trim just to get ACC. Plus I liked the interior better on the XLT.

But thanks to all of you that have done the conversion and shared your experiences, we can have our XL or XLT and get ACC.

When I received my parts, the CCM cover was not in stock so I did not get it. I did not want to delay the installation till I received it so I asked for the measurements of the cover on this forum and within hours, someone posted them. Thank you. So I did the installation without the cover and then installed cover this last weekend.

I thought I might share some of my experiences with the install and hope they might be helpful to someone.

Here is a pic of where the wiring harness goes through the fire wall in engine bay. I used a sfiff wire to punch trough the rubber on the outside and on the inside. Be careful not to push the wire through the wire bundle next to it. You have to deliberately aim the wire away from the other bundle.
PXL_20240407_004755658.jpg

Here is where it comes in on the inside. This is behind glove box next to fuse block.
PXL_20240407_004928634.jpg

I then bent the end of the wire into a hook shape and hooked the cat 5 wires into it.
PXL_20240407_214514834.jpg

Then taped it up with black tape starting on the metal wire and going down over the harness.
PXL_20240407_214648154.jpg

I then pulled the harness back through the rubber firewall boot.
PXL_20240407_223538941.jpg

I got the power for the CCM from fuse position 3. One thing to be cafeful when using a fuse tape ike these is determining which pin is hot on the fuse block. If you put the tap in backwards, the wire going to the CCM will bypass the fuse and go from the hot pin directly to the CCM.
PXL_20240407_005011176.jpg

I ran the wire along another bundle, under the radiator expansion tank, along another wire bundle and past the radiator on the right side. Then along the divider between the upper and lower shutters behind the bumper to the middle where the CCM will mount. I did not find a good route through the bumper.

PXL_20240412_224647953.jpg

I found the CCM wiring harness WPT-1198 on Amazon for about $20.

After I finally got the cover, I had to again remove bumper to install it. I was hoping to be able to install from outside but it tapers and is bigger in the back. And it has two long tabs or pins than protrude from the bottom which will help hold it in position. Here is the bumper removed and the position of the CCM front drawn on a piece of blue tape with the position of the holes where the cover pins will fit into
PXL_20240504_141218500.jpg
. You can also see that the back of the bumper has to be trimmed to fit around the CCM and the bracket. Her are the holes for the CCM cover to fit into.
PXL_20240504_160236366.jpg

When I cut the grill originally, I made the opening a little small so I could get a precise fit with the cover. I used a dremel with a sanding drum and removed a little at a time so the grill would touch the cover all the way around. Using the piece that I cut out of the grill, I tested some black ABS glue on it to see if it would bite into the plastic. It seemed to so using a small artist brush I painted some of the ABS glue around the places where the grill and cover meet. This worked really well and between the pins on the bottom and the glue, they are one.
PXL_20240504_181730217.jpg

I still need to dull the finish of the glue so it is not so shinny. It will blend in better that way.

Well that is all for now, I hope this info helps someone.
Update on the ABS glue. It has really bonded the CCM cover to the grill. After 3500 mile road trip, it is as solid as ever!

Ordered new wire, should have tomorrow. Will redo harness over the weekend. Not looking forward to removing bumper again!

I'm curious as you take this all apart again, if there would be a spot where one of the bronco ACC relocation brackets could be mounted.

Could potentially allow the ACC module to be installed behind the grill without any cutting (but still have to remove the plastic strip behind). These things are dirt cheap.

The radar sensors aren't in the tail lights. They're mounted behind the bumper.

I will look at that. wouldn't do it to mine since I already cut a hole in grill but someone else might like to know.

It did not look like there was any place to mount that bracket in the space below the bumper. Behind the grill is just the shutters and behind that, a heat exchanger. Here is a pic. Look at all of the bugs from the road trip. Mostly where they broke out the shutters for that recall. Looks like the shutters were mostly closed at highway speeds hence the absence of bugs on the rest of it. Was that the area you were interested in?

Just finished redoing the wiring, hope it fixes the problem but not sure how to check it as I don't plan on driving to the desert to check.

Actually I was thinking behind the actual grill, where the factory ACC goes. Those repositioning brackets are much cheaper than the OEM versions.

I can't imagine the temperature was the problem. I think you probably just had an intermittent / bad connection somewhere.

Saw it mentioned earlier in the thread but does anyone have spare LU2Z-14474-AA pins they'd be willing to send me?
