Just wanted to share the problems I"v had with my 2022 XLT Maverick so far:

- @27,000 miles - Broken transmission, replaced with new one. (Took 4 months...)

- @33,600 miles (TODAY) - Bad CV Axles, Currently working it with the dealer ....

VERY BAD SO FAR.... but, thats what we get with the first gen 2022 Mavs 🤣🤣

The only thing I have towed like 8 times is my 15ft Boston Whaler boat, only about 800-900 pounds, so no huge loads there, and relatively easy drives
Not sure if you've got 4K or not but a 15' Dauntless is 800 lbs dry with a trailer and cap weight you might be closer to your 2K rating.

Certainly shouldn't cause transmission failure but just something to consider.

Well he's at 27k and into a new tranny, with towing a max of 900 lbs just 15 times, stop making excuses it's not normal.

We need to hold Ford's feet to the fire, the issues with this vehicle (especially CV axles which are happening with an alarming regularity and the plethora of hybrid issues) are inexcusable. I get it, it's a unique vehicle that is/was hard to get ahold of but let's be honest half of us are just waiting until Toyota comes out with something similar and we're gonna trade it in for that.
Or maybe not. Some of us are waiting to see how the new 4 cylinder turbo engines are going to fare before we go buying any new Toyotas. Don't fix what ain't broke.

Well, this sucks for sure, but sounds like Ford/dealer is taking care of it? Imagine your tone had this all happened around 38K miles....

What were the symptoms?
Transmission was quite instant, while driving on a highway it suddenly flashed on the dash "power reduction", at the same time it stuck on 3rd gear and when I got home it went neutral. Completely dead 😵😵

With the Axles, it was like it has happened to others, it was like a washing machine vibration between 45-60 mph. When accelerating at any rate. Pedal out, it does not vibrate

These problems concern the hell out of me. I’ve not lifted my Maverick or changed anything in terms of function. However if my transmission of cv axles blow out coming down the mountain on 321 at 70mph in western NC, I’ll be in trouble!
