SeatBelt Splash Screen: Has Anyone Tried This

I worked with a guy who hated wearing a seatbelt and he had a 'cheater' that he used in the company truck...until the time he forgot to take it with him and a supervisor borrowed the truck and found it. He doesn't work there anymore...lost a great-paying job and has yet to find another one as good.

Is this just on the XL and XLT models? I've never seen it on my Lariat. I disabled the chime and I load the seats up often with no warnings. Either that or it was something I disabled in ForScan when I first got the truck and I just can't remember doing it. I know I did the hyperflash and remove/add/reorganize drive modes.

It's on my Lariat. Perhaps you did somehow disable it when you were messing around?

My luck, I'd accidently disable all the things I wanted to keep ands still not get done what I wanted.

The solution is STILL in post 2 and 3 above.

What's the discussion about now?

Those won't stop the screen from popping up. It will just make the seats show a green check mark.

Have you tried it?
You get no pop up at all when all positions are "buckled". Including the driver. Put in a clip into all UNOCCUPIED SEATS and the driver will still be reminded. If driver buckles before starting there are no messages or sounds of any kind.

You get NADA (nothing) in a 2022.
And for the 2022 there is no center position sensor for the rear. 2024 there is. 2023 I'm unsure.

Well at least now you know two or three ways to get rid of that annoyance.

2022 Lariats don't have that seatbelt nag screen, mine doesn't. They changed it in 2023.

Drive modes can be changed without clearing the messages. 5 presses is part of my routine now.

But the problem is merely the annoying message. I will still use the seatbelts; I only want the chime reminder. However, waiting a minute or pressing 'Ok' is TOO annoying while you are selecting driving modes.

Agree, the control panel seat belt notice is ridiculous. If it has to be there, why not leave it in for two seconds or so, having to press the on button is nuts when you already have your seatbelt connected.!!

I will try this again when I come back from my deployment in a month but buckling the seatbelts did not clear the screen for me. I can't remember if I buckled the middle seat in the back. That may be my problem. Thank you for the tip. I will give it a try again here in a few weeks.

I agree that this message is very annoying and would love a way to not have it show up on the screen. As you said, you can't select drive modes until it goes off the screen.

You can select the mode it is just difficult to see. Four taps and then drive on the turns wheel is my normal way to do it.
