Sorry for the terminology, but this is more of a squirt than a spray since it builds up water in the "performance dent" on either side of the hood, then when you brake that water streams toward the front edge of the hood and then the wind squirts it back on your otherwise clean windshield.

So my question is... do the hood guard/protectors for the front edge of the hood block the blow back "squirt" and allow the water to run off the hood cleanly when braking?

If there is water on the hood it's going to come towards the window under heavy braking, it's just physics. I know some people said that the front edge guard does reduce it somewhat.

I've been wondering about those indents. I think they're a throwback styling nod to the hood scoops on the original Maverick Grabber. Anyone really know?

Well it rained in central Texas last week but I did not go out to drive in it. Maybe next time it rains in one to six months?

I think this is fairly common for all cars, no?

I'm certain that squirting is not the proper word for it... It's like moist. Context matters.

Run-off. Drainage. Water streaks even.... all would have been better choices lol.

Squirting...

I'm such a child. Long hair don't care. You did this to yourself.

It's not very often that one of the "Yesterday's Most Popular New Topics" e-mails brings me here, but this one did :ROFLMAO:
