Not sure if issue was related to the pump, cold weather or truck itself.
Had a really hard time trying to put gas. Pump kept on shutting off. I have experienced this issue with an older vehicle and it was related to the gas tank air breathing hose thing being plugged up.

Anyone else having issues?

Sounds like an Evap issue. I know there was some reports of Escapes having the issue and I seem to recall a couple posts here about it as well. Not sure of the exact fix but I think it was simple. I'm assuming you are still under warranty? Just take it in and have them check it out.

I did when I got mine nearly two years ago. The gas nozzle was hard to get in just right. I cured it by putting it in just over half way (maybe 75%) and not holding it but letting it sit there and setting it on the slow setting. Never had problem again. I think if it's held in wrong position like too high? Can't really say as I have slept too many times since. Good luck.

This occurred once? Try a different pump...

If its happening at all pumps, I would suspect a filler pipe kink causing a restriction. Otherwise, its pretty common for the gas station to do poor maintenance and not replace/fix their peened-over nozzles that also cause this problem.

Don't put the pump nozzle in all the way and never keep filling after the pump handle shuts off the when the tank is full. There's a valve or port that can get screwed up on the Mav's filler hose if it gets gas forced in it when overfilling the tank.

Gas tank was almost on E.
Yes, I knew about not trying to tap it off after pump shuts off once it's full tank.

I would try a different pump. What you described has happened to me on the Maverick and every other vehicle. It is usually just that pump that is bad. However, I haven't had it happen in a while as I have been using our Circle-K or Walmart (whichever is cheaper when I go get gas) and they seem to keep their pumps well maintained.

I had this happen once but I did not have the nozzle shoved into the filler neck as far as it would go. Once I repositioned the nozzle farther into the filler neck, it worked fine.

Read your manual on the proper insertion of the gas nozzle. Stop filling when the gas nozzle clicks off for the first time. Do not try to top up the gas after the nozzle clicks off the first time or you will cause problems.

The manual page 177/178 describes how far in to place the gas nozzle and then to let it rest on the gas tank opening. Haven’t had a problem when following these instructions.

Don't use the Walmart fuel. Its cheaper for a reason - its not the top-tier fuel that is the minimum spec for your Mav. Circle K fuel on the other hand, is top tier.

I'll continue to use whatever is cheaper and convenient. I have used that strategy with every vehicle I have ever owned and had two of them go over 220,000 without the engine being the point of failure.
