Looks like i’m not the first to post about this
Soaked passenger side carpet
Water under carpet
I installed an aftermarket rear view camera on the top of the truck, near the brake light by the antenna
The wire for the camera comes in thru the same hole as the lights harness
Took the truck to ford autonation of Bellevue for this issue
They didn’t look too much into it
Blamed it on the camera wire

I assume this is the rear passenger carpet? I have the issue with the front passenger and it's the windshield cowl.

I had my truck for two weeks back in October of 2022, got the first rain and found the floor soaked on the front passenger side. Took it back to the dealer, Tommie Vaughn Ford (highly recommend),and it was something in the windshield cowl area that was not there or not properly installed. They kept it for two days, one to fix the problem and one to thoroughly dry out the carpet. No problems at all since.

Edit: Remove whatever dash cam wiring the dealer used as an excuse and take it to a different dealer. That is the problem with doing some mods - dealers use it as an excuse to duck legit warranty issues. They get paid less per hour plus there is a limit on what Ford will pay so they don't want to waste time when there are more profitable repairs to be made.

Start the process of drying the carpet ASAP. Unlikely the camera wire is the problem. More likely leak is near dash/windshield/windshield wipers etc.

A dealer problem for sure. Don't let them get away with ducking it. Can you reproduce the problem using a hose around the windshield area? If so, take a photo or a movie of it.

Thanks, I’ll do it

I don't know if this is the same thing. But Toyotas were notorious for the sunroof drain getting clogged and flooding the passenger side floor. The drain runs down the a pillar and drains out below the passenger door hinge area. If that clogs, you get a flood. If you have a sunroof, might be worth checking the sunroof drain.

Ugh! I have the same leak! I just looked at my passenger side footwell and it's soaking wet. Tried calling the dealer for repairs and they are completely backed up. What do I do now? I've only had this for 5 weeks!

I'm trying to look at build dates but it looks like yours is brand new. So something is up with their manufacturing.

Yes, it was built on Dec 15th and I just picked it up on Jan 21st. So frustrated.

Same here, they didn’t do anything regards it and who knows when they’ll do
I decided to change for a different car, better not to have this issues

So you replaced the car? To what if you don't mind me asking? And how long did you have the Maverick for before you traded it in?
