It usually does not fail to start when you use the key, but the app does not work and the interior lights do not work which sucks when it is dark at 5pm.

Have your windshield cowl checked too. Impossible to get a dealer or Ford to replace these moldy carpets though.

I assume this is the rear passenger carpet? I have the issue with the front passenger and it's the windshield cowl.

Dealers are pretty much useless, been without a car or loaner for 25 days from water leaks so far. while it just sits in their back lot.

Weird, my hybrid xlt lux 23 with 4k miles is $27,300 from them.

Deep sleep mode is from the Maverick not fully charging the 12v. This makes your fordpass app useless and some other minor issues like the interior lights not turning on until the truck is started. Some people have the truck just not start without a jump if the 12v gets too low.

My Maverick still stays in sleep mode even with the battery tender charging it to 100 now. You can buy a remote start key fob plugin thing for $100 on amazon though which is what I have to use.

If the first owner had issues like many of us here just keep in mind you lose many things like lemon law protections.

Yea, some of us have a leaking windshield cowl. This makes the passenger floor soaked and mold will develop in a day or two if you do not notice it. Trying to remove the mold is impossible without ripping everything out.

Unfortunately my dealer has not given me a rental so I just have to look at it being stored in their back lot untouched when they had me make appointments. My water leak is related to the windshield cowl, and it probably just has to be replaced at this point but they are dragging their feet.

It looks like California is a bit different, but there is a section for Virginia on their website so I will look into it when I get my truck back in what will probably be another 10 days. Thanks

I saw a bunch of people mention possibly doing it on here, but no one who actually went through with it. The posts on other ford forums are a few years old and mentioned it was a massive pain and they lost quite a bit of money so I was trying to see if it was still the same.

Took it in for the third time this morning for water intrusion, vehicle smells of mold and carpet has burn patches from them drying it last time. My vehicle won't come out of deep sleep mode so the app has been unusable since September and the interior lights do not come on even when I charge it...

Not with the price increase, just tired of having a moldy vehicle with water leaks with a useless phone app because of the 12v issue.
