Well, my 2024 Maverick AWD (ordered in Sept 2023, not being build until Feb 2024) did not come in time for the 10 inches of snow on my driveway.....but it does beg the question...can this size truck take a small snow plow? I live in the Poconos and it looks like this winter will have actual snow....

I wouldn't do it, but I'm sure someone is going to jump in with a reply that they have a snowplow on their Subaru. There is nowhere good to mount it on the front of a Maverick and even if you welded on a bracket, let's say similarly to how a tow-behind kit works, it will definitely bend the frame given enough time.

Could you get away with it just a few times on a smooth, fairly level driveway? Probably yes. But
I would use a snowblower or tractor if I had a serious need for snow removal, like Buffalo NY.

Do you have a snow blower or power shovel? Even this snow sport hitch plow is 1300. Seprately, Not sure if the Mav can use the $500 "nordic plow" auto plow. Seems like you could get a snow blower for a similar price. I did get small power shovel (Toro plug-in) this year but that sounds like a blower job.

I don't know about hitch mounted snow plow, but I know that the manual says explicitly not to mount one to the front. This is likely because it doesn't have a traditional frame, so it can't handle the pressure on the body.

I think you need to use your own judgment.
If someone comes out with a lot why not. People use all kinds of stuff here to snowplow. Just because the manufacturer says not to does not mean it can’t. I had several f-150’s that said not to. Only reason was the charging system.
Could be many reasons. Would I take on accounts with a maverick nope. But moving up ur own snow without getting rough on it should be fine. Most light duty plows also have springs rates for that.

so, the easy answer is...no....don't dare try....it'll really screw up the Maverick.....
Got it.. THANKS EVERYONE. (I was leaning toward getting a stand alone snow blower anyway......with all this great advice...THAT IS WHAT I'LL DO!!!) Cheers....a (hopeful) future Maverick owner....

I’ve looked at this a lot and I do not do it, but…

it seemed like you may be able to buy a Meyer home plow and put it in your rear hitch and go in reverse. The thing is, maybe it’d be fine once a year, but then that means you wouldn’t have to do it often so spending the money on a snow plow or hiring someone to plow your driveway is a better option.

I have a 300ft driveway and chose to get a quad with a plow to clear snow, plus I use it for other things as well.

Way back in early 2022 I saw a picture of a Maverick with a small plow, but to much info on it. Someone even had a small plow on the rear f the truck.. wish I’d try to catch pictures.

Instead of my Maverick, my wife does a fine job of moving snow. She is sturdier than the front end of the truck (and also she does not see what I post on this board).
