I doubt that, The 2.5 L is simpler, has no direct inj, no turbos, no belts. The trans is simpler also.
No turbo. Exactly. I've been looking at incoming "inventory" at several local dealers, and they keep describing the 2.5 liter as a "turbocharged" engine. It's not. I have no idea where they got this verbiage.

Changed my order to Ecoboost because Ford said it would have a better chance of getting built. Still waiting 433 days later!
WOW, by page 6 many have shown up just to trash this thread and our EB ordering/purchasing decision. ☹ Really shameful. Thanks for ruining this thread for Ecoboost buyers. I think we are seeing this rear it's ugly head again. I wish we weren't, but what other conclusion can be drawn? That's it, none of you are invited to my Maverick EB color reveal party now.

I feel pretty much the opposite about this thread. It has really made me more excited about my Ecoboost order with AWD & 4K. There's been some Hybrid fans in here and most have been decent. there's also been a lot of Ecoboost people with very positive reports & comments. I was happy with my order of the Ecoboost before but I'm now even more enthused and excited for it to arrive.

Hybrids are Gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that. :)
Finally someone said it. I thought I was being nice with my limp wrist and flashy patch comments but those got removed.

I wanted a hybrid (truck), but my travel trailer is too heavy. We debated selling the travel trailer and getting a hybrid, but I like my travel trailer. I drove a coworkers hybrid and it was plenty powerful for me, but I am coming from a Chevy Cruze with the 1.4 turbo and my wife has a Prius (gasp). My Silverado had some get up and go, but at 17mpg, I am not sad to see it go.
I think you misspelled husband.

You're a glass is half full kind of guy! Thanks for bringing some positivity!! I'm quite excited as well... mine is built week of 12/18... I live just 4 hours from the Hermosillo plant, so hopefully I'll see mine before end of year. Have a funeral to attend on Jan 7 in Georgia, so it might even be a road trip right away....

maybe comments were removed by a moderator, or maybe you're just being ignored by that person.

if you're ignored, the other person just disappears in threads. if you ignore someone, they disappear as well, but you get a button that lets you see comments from ignored members.

I test drove a '21? Hybrid that a neighbor ordered. It just didn't have my kind of oomph.

Plus, what fun is having a truck if I can't tow anything. So, I ordered an EB with towing and FX4.
I might never tow anything, but I didn't want to take away my options.

It may also never snow here again, but if it ever does I'm prepared!
