This is AMAZING. I have to ask, what happens when you are driving with 0 MTE? Obviously you are burning the "reserve volume" in the tank, but how do you know when it's truly empty?
Put another way, what made you finally stop and fill up?
UPDATE:
Got home late Saturday. Obviously enjoyed watching the game last night.
We drove 5600 miles total. Averaged 33.6 mpg using actual miles/gallons. That included a LOT of miles crossing TX at 80 mph (30 mpg).
Also picked up a new cubby buddy at Joshua Tree National Forest.
Heading south and west in the morning. Approx. 2400 miles by Sunday night. Win or lose we will be taking our time coming home, by way of New Orleans.
Happy New Year, everybody! GO BLUE!
Same here. The kids don't understand that "OK boomer" isn't an insult to a person who is actually part of the boomer generation.
I bought my first house in 1986 for around $70K I think. And my first new car in 1985 was $8250. But interest rates were higher than they are now. And the other...
My first mod was actually a Muslogy cargo net! Only because it shipped quicker than the Ford floor mats I bought with my FordPass points. And I've got a trifold tonneau cover on the way as well.
Happy to report I picked up my 2024 XLT Hybrid last night. Rollover order, original order Sept '22.
Lasco Ford in Fenton, MI sold this to me at MSRP and deducted the $3400 private offer without me even asking about it. Zero dealer add-ons, and they didn't even try that hard to sell me the...
No turbo. Exactly. I've been looking at incoming "inventory" at several local dealers, and they keep describing the 2.5 liter as a "turbocharged" engine. It's not. I have no idea where they got this verbiage.
Wow. Just, wow.
I guess all I can do is hope they give me the full value. They tried to sell me a Lariat last spring at $8K over MSRP, and last week they had a '24 XLT Hybrid listed at $4K over (which they apparently sold over the weekend). They don't seem to get many Mavs even compared to...
I'm in Michigan, if that helps. I believe that technically this is not a "rebate." This is meant to reduce the selling price back to the 2023 price. In my case, reversing the $1900 price increase on the XLT and the $1500 charge for the Hybrid engine that was formerly the standard $0 engine.
The glitch would be between Smart Vincent and whatever email program that Customer Service uses. It either auto-filled into the wrong field, or there was no field for the certificate number so the CSR typed it into the date field.
What the dealer CAN do and what they WILL do (without customer...
This is just an FYI to other rollover customers waiting for their 2024 to come in.
My 2024 XLT Hybrid has "shipped." While waiting for delivery, I decided to call Ford Customer Service and see if they would confirm that I am eligible for the rollover Private Offer. They confirmed my ID and...
Oh, don't say "beige or almond." Those are two separate colors of wall plates. Almond is about half as dark as the old standard beige wall plate. (Which, btw, was meant to be like a "primer" color, to be painted wall color or wallpapered back in the day. )
I'm still waiting for my Mav, in the meanwhile we have a 2017 Cherokee Latitude and a 2020 Cherokee Trailhawk. (She's a little miffed that I'm not getting her another Cherokee and driving her leftovers this time.) She will put hers on the center line so I have to be careful. She pulls in on...
I agree with this, and to be clear all cars have folding mirrors for safety. OP is talking about power folding mirrors, which are pretty much just used for parking.
No I get it. You think the top trim of a small cheap US truck should have a particular luxury feature, no matter how little it will be needed or used. Ford disagrees and so do I.
I have never once in 40 years of driving felt the need to fold a mirror. But I don’t drive a truck with an 8 foot...
