Maverick Raptor Style Grille w/Color-Matched FORD Lettering

I was thinking about it long before it came out and thinking how I could add the letters over the original grille, wish the letters were smaller more to fit the size of the maverick. Sam said it took him all day you said few hours, did you have to remove the whole front of the vehicle? Good job Thanks for the info.

I installed the Raptor style grill on my Hybrid Maverick. Painted the FORD to match the Hot Pepper Red. I like the way it looks, I wanted something in the grill to pop rather than just all being Black. I hooked all the lights to the Passenger side Marker Light in the bumper and then wired the turn signal portion of the white lights to the correct side turn signal wiring in the Headlights. Yes the lower white lights are a switch back sequential turn signal. All in all a nice clean and fairly easy install, took me a couple hours and some of that time was cleaning the back of the bumper cover and the radiator core support and active grill shutters.

Yes I had to remove the entire bumper cover. With Sam videoing the whole process and learning how to do it himself it probably took him longer. Since I watched him do it I knew what tools I needed and what to remove, beside that I am a mechanic and do this sort of thing for a living.

I‘ve been waiting for someone to do the color matching of the letters. IMHO that’s the way they should be done. Looks beautiful, fantastic job!

Thanks. When I saw Shay from Test Driven TV do his install I thought it needed something more in the front instead of all the black so I decided to try and do the color matched letters which I think turned out really good.

Looks great. I just finished mine and can’t figure what the 2 yellow wires go to. I wired the red to the passenger side light and all the lights come but can’t figure out the yellow wires.

Those are for the turn signal portion of the white light bars, hook them up to the corresponding turn signal. They will tap into the very bottom wire on the left and right turn signals. Right is a blue with white, left is a yellow with green.

Has anyone experienced difficulty opening the hood. I can eventually open the hood, but it's very fiddly.

Have you added hood struts? The easiest solution is adding a Jeep hood spring.
