Picked up my Maverick from the paint shop today. Like the title says, bumpers and skirts were sanded smooth, prepped and painted. Same with tailgate handle. The grill bar was color matched to the powdercoat on the wheels.

Because everyone is going to ask, expect roughly $2500 for this kind of work from a high end body shop. Location, shop, and paint color will vary (HPR is far more expensive than white or CG).

I have a HPR Lariat, too, and all I can say is that it's best damn red-varietal color Ford has ever offered. It "pops" the eye and gets so many compliments.
I parked next to two Mavs that were blue and gray in a store parking lot and just found myself feeling so grateful about the color choice I made.

Did you change the color of the wheels or is grey manufactured color ? I am not a fan of black wheels. I don’t understand that fad. The grey wheels look really good. The paint looks great also . Being an official geezer the lowered look is good if you are young (wish I was)

Wheels were sandblasted then powdercoated bronze.

I don't like black wheels either - black wheels belong on cop cars and shitty imports who's hubcaps have fallen off. Black wheels hide all of the intricate details of what could be a beautiful design. It literally defeats the exact reason you buy aftermarket wheels.

But the low thing, that's just me. With six grandkids I'm a geezer too. Still have my trucks and hot rods on the ground where they belong, LOL.

She looks fantastic! Definitely a head turner. You were smart to go with a high end body/paint source, and damn the cost . . . no regrets down the road.

Not how I would build my truck, which makes my compliment even more sincere. You see that, right?

Looks great. Wish the lower black moldings were available in aftermarket painted to match factory colors..

There's a company in Texas "claiming" to sell a fiberglass ground effects kit. To my knowledge ONE was produced and they've taken many people's money without delivering product. I reached out to them myself about buying a very overpriced kit and could not get a response.

The aftermarket will catch up. Eventually.

I agree the aftermarket will hopefully make some color matching moldings in the future. Im not a big fan of black moldings and bumpers. Ive gotten used to it though but the maverick could be much sharper if it was all one color.

The black trim makes the truck look like a cheap import in my mind. I get it Ford, it's a TRUCK, it's designed to be utilitarian, but painted plastics look SO much classier!
