They should definitely make it an option. The project came out great! I really like how it makes the truck look. Ford should just add this to the truck as OEM.
I had to get a new jack and stands. The jack I had was too short, and I didn't trust my old stands. No safety pin. I got the jack puck and jack stand cover for Amazon.

Jacking the truck was no problem, I put the jack a little behind the jack cutout. No creaking or anything. Lot's of discussion on the forum about it. It was a non event.

It was much easier to get to the front of the truck with the wheels off.

Some basic instructions would have been helpful. I'm not much of a mechanic, but at least I'm organized.

This mod really enhances the look of the truck. I put a dab of white lithium grease on the tab for the wings, and they slide right on. Pulling the old ones off were not a problem.

Fake hood scoop is the next project. Maybe tomorrow.

Black and gray looks killer. If you have the FX4, you can get black and gray decals to get rid of the red.I put the hood scoop on today. I was planning on color matching it, my brother, and my friend that helped out on the grill dissuaded me. I'm glad I didn't paint it. I like the contrast. It was an easy install. There is a very small lip that will go over the hood on the back. It could be a little bit bigger.

That looks great very aggressive. All you need are some AT tires maybe some 245/70/17. You’re making me want to take on that grill project.
It’s not as difficult as one would think. It’s not an FX4, I’m afraid bigger tires, while looking cool would be out of place. That looks great very aggressive. All you need are some AT tires maybe some 245/70/17. You’re making me want to take on that grill project.
I keep hoping that someone in the aftermarket creates a honeycomb grille for the XLT and Lariat two piece that allows keeping the grille bar. I don't particularly care about the Raptor style Ford lettering across the front, but I like the honeycomb grille look. If Ford ever makes an ST version there will be a direct swap honeycomb OEM option, assuming they don't change the bumper profileI love the look of this, but I have the Lariat Lux, so have the radar in the grille.
Has anyone actually found a replacement grille that works with the LL? Or are we totally out of luck?
You can tap into drivers side marker light. Wiring from grill can run through middle to top, and under the cover between radiator across then down to the sidemarker.I wish I would've found this thread earlier! I made a tutorial video for the raptor grill install if anyone needs it.
If you know a reputable mechanic, they might be willing to do it.Where would I take this to get installed? I don't know how to take trucks apart
