I’m only two weeks in with mine and I’m absolutely blown away how impressive this truck is. We have had a heat wave and AC is cold within minutes. The fuel economy has been bonkers great.

I threw into the conversation the other day. "I saved enough on gas savings to go to Costco and get that air fryer you want". Only problem is she is now asking about the milage. You know, if they never made the hybrid I'd still be extatic about the 30mpg ecoboost.
So getting around 40mpg in a truck that can haul 1300 lbs of rock (plus me), cost <$30k, and has the turning radius and parallel parking capability like a small hatchback is unbelievable.
I recently played around with sport mode and loved how this truck jumped from a dead stop. And no matter what mode it's in, the acceleration is butter-smooth.
I've never been a car or truck guy. I drove whatever got me from A to B. Now my problem is my wife's tired of me talking about the Maverick. But that's what you all are for!
Yup I can vouch for that. I'm really impressed with the highway ride, it never feels underpowered, and the ride is surprisingly nice. I'm still teasing my wife that my truck is better on gas than her hatchback, she's gone from getting annoyed to thinking it's funny lol.Four hours of interstate yesterday and what a wonderful highway cruiser my 23 XL hybrid has proven to be. Few vehicles have I owned that made me look forward to a trip like the "Silver Sipper".
Guess who's taking over the "Silver Sipper"?Yup I can vouch for that. I'm really impressed with the highway ride, it never feels underpowered, and the ride is surprisingly nice. Yes. But if you have seat and steering wheel heaters, those are nearly free to use. In CA that's all I use unless we dip into the 40's.Typical trip to town. Should I assume MPGs will drop once I start using the heat?

I get the best hybrid fuel economy in spring and fall. Not a huge difference in MPG though (3-4 MPG?)Typical trip to town. Should I assume MPGs will drop once I start using the heat?

I have zero complains about the brakes. And this truck stops quick when needed! I have a late build 2023, and it seems earlier complaints about drivability have all been addressed. The Hybrid/ICE transition and operation is very smooth. Zero regrets here.Same for me. There's the complaints about things like the brakes but they're just something to get used to. I was ready to not like the "lack of power" but that's not the case. Acceleration and cruising are great. Very happy.
I don't use heat until it warms up on it's own either.Pro tip: Do not turn on Cabin Heat until the engine temp needle is above the the first tic mark.
Thanks. I have an XL, so no heated seats or steering wheel. But one wall of my garage is below grade, so it never gets below freezing in the garage, even in the coldest weather here. So my vehicles are never crazy cold when I first get in. My previous vehicle, a Subaru Impreza, had heated seats, but I rarely used them, except mostly as a summer prank on an unsuspecting passenger.I get the best hybrid fuel economy in spring and fall. The hybrid heat comes on very quickly in the dead of winter, very comfy. I have never had a heated steering wheel before and I like it.
This is great advice in theory, but in many situations impractical. Most of the time when I "need" heat it is because the windshield is frozen/snow covered/foggy.Pro tip: Do not turn on Cabin Heat until the engine temp needle is above the the first tic mark.
