When I sign into my Ford account and go to vehicle tracking it says I need the order code & the VIN, which is available after my truck goes into production... Also, when I follow the link provided above to Ford Chat I'm taken to a description of Chat with the hours it's available... Thanks for any clarification, & for your patience.
Just like you said, vehicle tracking is only when the vehicle is scheduled for production and you have been assigned a VIN number.

On the Ford chat, it takes some time for the Start Chat button to show up. Some ad-blockers prevent this from showing up, try a different browser or a private window.

If you have issues, you can also call 1-800-392-3673. Have not tried it that way though

You don't need a VIN to use the chat, all you need are the order code and sales code from the DORA. You also need to make sure you accept all cookies for the site otherwise the chat button will never show up.

My 2024 XLT Was also a priorty 19 but saleman said would be upgraded after they took deposit will check to see if chat has an update on it. Just talked to chat person no vin for my order so no change in priorty till then .......hurry up and wait.....

Same thing (at least to me), people uses both terms (at least my dealer does lol). If you see your Order Summary Sheet, you will see a line for Priced DORA. Also, DORA stands for “Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement"

I've been using the terms wrong. Find the right information here :)

Sarah do you have a copy of the memo telling dealers to move their 23 to 24 reorders to priority code 3? My dealer still thinks they can only do 10-19.
Ford has not asked them to be put at a 3 specifically. Ford has let dealers know that they will be moving roll overs into a priority 2. so if you have a rollover you wont need to worry about your priority code. as long as your dealer has a 23 order and a 24 order in for you then you get a priority 2 for 24, no matter what your dealer has put it as . we are seeing that not all 24 orders are at a 2 just yet. we assume ford is working their way through and confirming everything to make sure the right ones are getting the right priority.

By the time you get a VIN, the priority code will not matter, because you have been scheduled. The dealer should be able to do better than a 19 this year as they can use all the way down to 3, I think. I was a 19 last year and never got built.

This is a DORA: its a document ford sends over to the dealer letting them know that the order was placed and accepted on their end. This is sent a day or two after the order is placed, and is not used for COVP

This is a buyers order; it is a document put together by the dealer to say this is what the price of the vehicle will be along with any other fees they plan to charge. this is to be signed by you to confirm you are ok with the price they are charging you. this would be a good place to get a managers signature to get the dealer locked into price as well. this is used for COVP and may look a little different based on what format the dealer uses.

Thank you for the detailed and educative response! I have been using the terms wrong then. I asked my dealer for the priced DORA and they sent me the order summary. Since then I've wrong :)
