Shudder at 50mph

Update: After patiently waiting for a month, both axles have arrived and they were installed yesterday. I also had them check the dampers and they said everything was good. Thank you to Coconut Point Ford and to Detroit for making sure I was taken care of by Maverick was down.

My 2022 hybrid lariat has begun to do a shudder and shimmy any time I accelerate to and above 50 mph. I have have 15,000 miles on it but some people are saying it’s the CV shaft. Opinions? Right now I dropped it off at Coconut point Ford and I am waiting to hear.

Sounds like the axles, you will know soon enough.

I'll be curious what they tell you. It could be something simple as tires needing to be rebalanced or a couple loose lug nuts.

I had a similar problem. Get you some new front axles. Make sure they have them in stock at the dealership before you give them your truck and plan on not having a vehicle for at least a few days.

Sooooo. It's bad axles and there is a national backorder for them. Could be months. This is our only vehicle and they want the loaner back. UGH!!!!!!

Yea I thought it was all Mavericks running into those issues.

OP, do you have a lift kit installed? That seems to be a common denominator more than hybrid vs ecoboost.

Seems to be a very common problem unfortunately. Ford needs to fix this.

Hopefully if you're running a lift kit in a unibody FWD CVaxle truck, you aren't even coming here to complain about CV Axles. All your free time should be spent earning money to pay for more CV axles.
