Hey there. Just found out how to type the 4 "letters" on CSX bot for tracking your trucks CSX rail car. My letters are SFLC, so to numerically type that on your keypad in the CSX bot tracking system, you need to type the number that the letter falls under, but THEN type the number that the letter falls in line. So, my numbers will be 74 33 53 23, and then type your 6 digit # when prompted. Worked perfect for me the first time. Hope this helps.

Just received an email from Ford that my Lariat FX4 I ordered in sept is due to be produced the week of August 28th. I picked up a 2019 Ranger n December after a suicidal deer decided I needed a new vehicle. I love the Ranger although the mileage could be better….currently 3000 mikes into a 4500 mile road trip & have been averaging 19.8 mpg with a best of 22.5 & a worst of 17.7. Anyways I have this payment & the wife’s caddy, no way can I afford 3 payments do need to make a decision in the next couple of months. Could trade the caddy in although still owe $9k. Could trade in my 2011 Mustang which is free & clear & hasn’t been getting driven much & never has seen snow or salt.

I have sat in a Maverick at the auto show in Milwaukee but have not driven one yet. Decisions, decisions.

So have my email with VIN and order numbers, and a build date for the week of 11/8. At what point should I be able to find my window sticker, or have it show up in my ford vehicles?

On the Ford tracking link in the email I got, it shows this:

1633533056965.png

Is this normal, or should I be concerned?
Same here, I believe you shouldn't be worried. Your in the system. Your Maverick will be built soon.
Here's mine a week before you. Ordered this 2&8-02-2022 Finally.....

So Ford chat gave me a rail car number: BNSF301068 that supposedly left with my Maverick on June 30, yet the tracking mentioned something about released to the customer in AZ on May 10th…

so I’m confused… is it possible they gave me the wrong number?

Here are some helpful links for those waiting for production and delivery:
* copied from sister site Bronco6G.com

Required Reading: Maverick Build Process - Window Sticker, Blend Date, Production Rotation Number, Built & Shipped Emails, Delivery Date Estimates & More
https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...ped-emails-delivery-date-estimates-more.3002/

Ford Status Terms and what they mean -- from Production to Delivery as seen in the "Vehicle Visability" Report

To the Ford site to check on status
https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking#/

Another Window Sticker lookup tool - add your VIN at the end
https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=

To the Ford site that populates your Modules being turned on (this lets you know it’s actually built at the factory)
https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt

And lastly to see if it’s scheduled on the Convoy (Truck not Rail) to your Dealer!
https://palsapp.com

If you are going by rail, it’s more complicated…

First you will need the rail car letters and numbers. It is on the visibility report or DORA which is from the dealership. You MAY be able to get it from the SVT people but they seem often in a cranky mood and may tell you to get it from the dealer.

There are two major rail companies.

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
UP is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way.

So, how do you track your truck on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Union Pacific
1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

NS Norfolk Southern
1. Call 800-635-5768
2. Press 2.
3. Press 2.
4. Enter the letters on the numeric keypad then press #. As in: TTGX will be 8849
5. Enter the numbers then press #. It wasn't taking my voice prompts but typing worked.
Does anyone know how the average person can get access to the site to see if Mav is scheduled on truck to dealer. The dealer has kind of quit telling me anything, last I knew was a week ago and it was less than 150 miles from my dealer. Further more, dealer got a transport today and mine wasn't on it.

My dealer was surprised when mine came in. He had been able to follow it on VinView (sharing screenshots with me when I asked), but once it got to Denver, that was it. It arrived there and was unloaded from the train on 2/28. I think the only reason they brought it up on 3/8 was because there was snow predicted for the next day. Sometimes they sit at that final rail destination for a day...and sometimes a month (or even longer). It is the hardest part of the wait. Sorry.

That's what happens when I put my number in also. It's giving me dates and places that are before my truck was made.

The railcar's previous trip is what you are likely seeing. I had that trouble at the beginning of my tracking.

I never did get an accurate response (on the automated railroad system) for the railcar number I was given by the chat folks, but generally Ford customer service or the dealer could give me fairly recent location along the journey.

Yeah...don't worry about the rail tracking. Not a lot of details there. Ask your dealer for a screenshot of your truck on VinView and it will be good info. I asked for one about once a week. This was the final.

Our truck shipped yesterday. It sounds like there is no independent way to track it. There is this in the window sticker:

Hey there. Just found out how to type the 4 "letters" on CSX bot for tracking your trucks CSX rail car. Thanks for the info. Merged with OPs voice steps as an non voice alternative (hopefully I didn’t miss anything):

CSX

1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352

2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1"

3. When prompted for the car initials, press the number that the letter falls under, but THEN press the number that the letter falls in line. Example, SFLC=“74 33 53 23” (7 for S, fourth letter on that keypad. 3 for F, third letter. 5 for L, third letter. 2 for C, third letter) then #.

4. When prompted, enter your car number like 907048 then press #. When prompted to enter additional cars, press ##. Enjoy your updated status report.

5. Optional: press 1 to hear the results again

6. Hang up once finished
