Like others I have to say the A/C is impressive! I also was expected a noisier cabin but I was quite surprised at how quiet it is.

Additionally, the radio. I know many have complained so I was expecting it to not be good at all. I was pleasantly surprised to find the radio really isn't that bad. The entire Aja album by Steely Dan sounds great in it, so it suffices for me! 😎

  1. Smooth and comfortable ride.
  2. Cornering ability is a surprise. It’s no sports car but….
  3. Fuel mileage exceeded my expectations. I’ve gotten 600 miles out of a tank. (XLT hybrid)
  4. Tons of storage.
  5. Dial shifter has me converted.
  6. Acceleration is better than I thought it’d be.

The main reason we ordered a Maverick was to tow our travel trailer, didn't want an SUV, didn't need a bigger truck, just wanted something practical, good on gas, comfy on long trips and would fit in our garage. All those things others have mentioned it has met expectations, but, I am still constantly impressed with how well it tows, 5k + miles of towing our little trailer now and I have yet to be in a position where I have needed more power, more braking, more stability or more of anything really. It does it all flawlessly. I've towed big loads with big trucks over the years but this little truck impresses me more than anything I've ever towed with, it does it all with the minimum of fuss
So glad you're enjoying your Maverick! Thanks for sharing!

After 7,500 miles we're at 48.8mpg, was at 51.1mpg before a recent long trip that was all highway (with the wife driving).

Ride is also smoother than I expected. Initial satisfaction per dollar is probably the highest of any new vehicle I've ever purchased.
Obviously, the recent drop in mileage was due to the wife driving!!! ;) I guess you decided to keep her anyway??????😄

There's a good 20% difference in efficiency between when I drive and when she does, regardless of which of our vehicles is driven. She could not care less about efficiency. You choose your battles.

I use the keypad all the time but, I never thought I would.
I can't wait to be able to do this. It'll be nice not having the keys on me during a run/walk/hike.

1. The fact that it apparently is getting built. XL Hybrid w/trailer hitch, ordered 9/17/22, scheduled for production 8/3/23. The odds were pretty low.

I really planned on buying an EB off the lot this fall. Whoo Hoo!!!
Did yours actually show in the tracker a build date or just the email? Mine is just in the email. Don’t forget to order a MAV24 with same order code in case the date gets pushed. I’m going in the 17th to do so myself

The fact that the trade value has already surpassed what I paid for it. Still may upgrade to a different truck, but if the deal doesn't work on all fronts, the trade won't happen. Love my Maverick!

The gas mileage on the Ecoboost has exceeded expectations for me. The around-town driving has consistently been 27-28mpg, the highway 31-33, although twice so far driving on 55mph back roads for long periods of time has returned 39mpg. For a non-hybrid, that speaks volumes.
While I appreciate your good fortune in getting the mpg stated above, my eco-boost around town struggles to be 19 to 20. Highway driving is far better but I do not have highways where I live. I have mentioned this before and others have agreed, so I am wondering how such a variation in mpg can be received? Even when I tried to completely Lightfoot it and coast as far as possible, I'm lucky to get 20.5 mpg in town. Other than that, I absolutely love my eco-boost FX4 here in Baja; it has never left me stranded.

Maybe it's the difference in having the FX4? I drive mine in Eco mode around town.

The things I least expected to be overly pleased with are push button start , unlocking by just running my thumb on the door handle. Love is never fumbling around, digging in a purse or pocket looking for a key. The best thing, walking up to my Mav and never pulling out a key or fob , never dropping it in the snow is priceless to me😂

AWD! Madam Blue was fantastic in the snow, far exceeding my expectations. I was, in the past, subjected to the struggle with FWD in deep snow, but no more!

The Ford Pass app, so convenient.

At the risk of being redundant, well worth the wait and price.
