The EASIEST thing to GUARANTEE 1 to 2 MPG gain is: add 5 psi to your tires.

40 psi is safe, reasonable, free, and will make your tires last longer. Ride will feel slightly more harsh, but it's a truck, not a Cadillac DeVille, and pretty soft and cushy for a truck to begin with. You'll probably not notice.

Pre-emptive note: the door jam sticker is the "Suggested / Recommended" tire pressure, not a mandatory, or single "correct" pressure. It's a compromise, not a perfect value, just like "all season tires" are a compromise. Not great in any one aspect, but "ok" in all seasons.

Either you have won Lithium-ion lottery, or you have figured out the most efficient daily driving style/route. I assume you did not strip down the school bus and super hipermile to do this. Maybe next time you get similar mileage you should try to be the 1st to reach 900mpt.

Anyone else even get close to 58 mpg on 10+ gal? My best ever was 55.7 mpg. I just have to use the freeway sometimes. Plus I added some weight with a sound system, bedliner, and adding some killmat. I will try to max out soon when my family leaves me on vacation for a month and I can just go via city streets only.
I've had my Maverick now for 17 Months, My commute is 17 miles one way, and it's all city, I can take the freeway but want to maximize the value of this truck. I have found the truck's sweet spot is between 35-45 MPH, and the average speed on my commute is 40. Regen is your friend, and I maximize that as much as possible. For most of my commute, the street is wide enough to have 3 lanes in each direction, so I stay in the middle lane, this allows me to have a more consistent speed. Here in PHX, the weather has been pretty mild, so no AC is needed, this will change shortly. My commute happens in the morning and in the evenings. I'm always in Eco mode, when I can, the sunroof is open and windows are down.
The high MPG can be had, I don't drive under the speed limit, I drive the speed limit. One thing I tease my neighbor about (he is a PHX MotorCop) I want a cut of the revenue I help with. On my commute, there is a street in which motor cops get people for speeding or illegally passing and these people will pass me illegally and they get caught, I do the speed limit, so these people get two and sometimes three tickets. Speeding, illegal passing, and cell phone usage (we are like Calif, can not be holding your phone while driving)

Hit a bit over 700 on this tank with about 20% highway. Hopefully I can find a month where I can drive exclusively back roads and get even better mpg.

this should do it...

geographically, couldn't (shouldn't) have gone further without filling up.
after first click fillup -- 14.2 gallons:
Ford Maverick 700+ Miles Per Tank Club 1687832596661

Again, ECO mode rocks!

(Measured mileage would only be 48.2mpg; computed value is about 7% optimistic across multiple tanks.)

Edit: did it again; 13.9gallons on first pump click. a little lower this time with some interstate miles and AC running. It is interesting how 'accurate' the previous tank's predicted miles turned out to be.

You should try slippery mode full time.
It's the gentlest of all modes.

And again, it is all about terrain. Heck, my driveway is a 24% uphill grade. Gas up, regen down, electric when possible. In general, ECO mode gives really nice downhill speed control without banging on the touchy brakes -- a definite plus!

Here, it is all up hill or down, with little flat. Not enough flat to benefit from coasting. That being said, on the long two mile downhills, slippery mode is nice to avoid/delay the onset of (hideous sounding) compression braking.

The ability to get anything close to this mileage with this terrain is absolutely astounding. Six months ago, I wouldn't have thought it possible.

My MPG didn't get better in Slippery mode, it felt very lethargic to me. Since my last tank, I averaged 58 MPG, I want anyone to beat that in Slippery mode...

You already know I can (from older posts). Here's one from the past when I was in Slippery most of the time. Not even trying that hard and it was my first tank using Slippery, my first tank from the dealer, and I had just learned about it. With polished technique and good weather, over 58+ Is a given.

Cruise Control is a mode.
Do you need it? No.
But some people like it.

Lane Keep Assist is a mode.
Do you need it? No.
But some people like it.

That is nice, but 57.7 from the truck's computer and plenty of documentation shows is incorrect. I'm betting you got 55 MPG manually calculated. My 58 MPG was a manual calculation, I went 813 miles on a tank.

So I'll repeat myself, can you get 800 miles per tank in slippery? My answer is no.

I can without trying hard. The hardest part is waiting 8 weeks for the result since I only drive 20 miles per day!

I'm sorry you feel you can't.
I'm confident once you get more comfortable and/or more experienced with slippery you'd be able to also.

But no big deal either way.
Still a fun little truck, right?

I am finally able to join the "700 Club". I was able to squeak 757 miles before refilling. But I must say that my experience was anything but "normal" driving... LOL. Got a lot of stink eyes along the road. I live out in the county and going back and forth from town I usually only go 40 to 50 mph, but on a highway it's hard to keep that 50 mpg. I found that if you keep it around 50 miles an hour you can keep pretty good gas mileage. I had to put right at 14 gallons to fill back up, so 54.1 mpg., which is slightly less than what the dash shows at 56.7.

If I hadn't had to do as much highway driving, I might have been able to get to 800 on that tank.

For those of you posting about getting 700+ miles on a tank I’d appreciate knowing if you are using regular or a higher octane gasoline, and if there is ethanol added.
So close.

This is with about 20% ethanol blend in the fuel. I generally run E15 88 but topped it off with a few gallons of E30 for that tank.

How do you like the E20?

I had 2005 Escape Hybrid.
The lowest cost per mile for me was at E25.

It would run normally all the way up to E70! Straight E85 produced rough idle so I only did that once. But E85 still got me from A to B and I drove it a quarter million miles over 14 years without the slightest issue.

Myself and many other experimenters back in 2005-2007 found this to be true of the Ford 2.3L Atkinson Engine.
There was a flat spot in the predicted graph at 20-25% ethanol content. Up to 40% was still "above predicted" results.

I think I ran up to 35% or so with my C-Max, seemed to be fine.

I tried over 40% once with my Five Hundred, it lit the CEL but otherwise ran fine. Cleared after the next fill so the ECM was just seeing the fuel trim was off.

I should do the calculations and figure out the actual ethanal content for that fill. The 20% is just a guess. Thankfully where I live there are a few places with E15 and a grocery store with a flex nozzle that puts out E85 and E30 as well as the E15.

Maybe I can get the tank down to a quarter and fill with E30 next. I don't drive the truck much, maybe 6,000 miles a year so it will be a bit .

Basically "back in the day" 😅 Which was 2007, I could pay the discounted rates for 25% ethanol and get about the same MPG as 10% traditional E10.

Pure gasoline always nets higher MPG, but at additional cost.
