Ford's Extended Service Plan for a 2023 Maverick

I got the call from the dealer yesterday(4/19/2023). My Maverick has arrived, and I can pick it up today (4/20/2023). I went to the showroom to discuss payment with the dealer's finance person, and while I was there, we discussed Ford's Extended Service Plan. It was called "PremiumCARE." They quoted $2,244 for a 7-year/125,000-mile plan. It carries a $100 deductible and is honored at Ford deals nationwide.

Has anyone picked up this plan? Any thoughts about it?

If you put in a few details at these links, you can get an idea of the cost. There are multiple dealerships that will cut you a VERY good deal. Flood Ford is one. Granger is another.

https://www.floodfordesp.com/

Often $50-100 over their wholesale cost. Please look into those other options before you buy it from the dealer you are getting your truck from (who will almost certainly try to take you for MUCH more of a markup).

Please keep in mind that these are the exact same offerings that your local dealer is selling. It does not mater who you purchase from, it is honored and valid at all the same places (every single Ford Dealership Service Department). It is tied to your VIN in the database, not who sold it to you.

Me again. I plugged the stats you mentioned into Granger. They say $1,475 for 7-year/125,000-mile plan with a $100 deductible.

Ask your dealer if they will match that.

Granger or Flood is the way to go. You can choose exactly what coverage and for how long you want/need as well. Far cheaper than most dealerships, the same coverage, and you can even use your Fordpass points to help offset the cost if you want.

Yep, thanks your elected state officials, you have more limited insurance options than most of the rest of the country. I think California also recently passed some legislation that also does similar.

You're the best @paneubert!
You saved me some serious $$$
I just compared rates on a 7-year/125,000-mile plan.
The same plan with Granger Ford would be $1,545, saving me $698
The same plan with Flood Ford would be $1,710 saving me $533
Thank you!

I went with the Geico warranty because it was cheaper.
The downside with Geico is you need to stick with them for the duration and now they have leverage on you to jack up your policy prices.

If you get the ESP plan, buy the optional exterior & interior light package. A burnt out headlamp for the Maverick is 1000+ to replace. The light package will cover replacement.

I was offered the same plan when I picked up my Maverick last week but they were asking $2500 for it.

I decided to purchase it from my Credit Union for $1800 with a $0 deductible.

That’s true but it is the cheapest option I could find. I definitely want an extended warranty.

My extended warranty is 10yrs 120k bumper to bumper it was if I remember 16 hundred or 2k. Well worth it with these new cars the touch screen alone is like 1-2k. And I’m a Master Technician. I hate working on my own cars , wife has a 2017 Escape with same warranty.
