I am in South Florida and I usually get 38 or 39 miles per gallon that I calculated. I once got 50 on a short trip. I drive in normal mode and maybe half city and half highway. I use 89 octane gas. I just drive normally and don’t try to improve mileage. I do check my tire pressure at least twice...
I have a lariat with the luxury package and 360 and don’t have a front sensor. I assumed that I was going to get one but when I called Ford, I learned that it was not an option.
The Geico extended warranty cost was about $15 for 6 months with a $100 deductible and I can extend for up to 7 years. Ford quoted me $3,702.20 for 8 years and 85000 miles with a $100 deductible. The price difference is enormous.
I thought that Ford sends the specs to the oil manufacturers and then they have to pay for the testing and certification. But I don’t know for certain.
Ben emailed me:
The Kirkland synthetic 0W-20 we manufacture would be recommended for the Ford WSS-M2C962A-1 spec so you can use this with confidence.
It looks like the 0w/20 is good for the Maverick Hybrid!
