My out-the-door price. Assumes no trade or other down payment, but the dealer has a line item to spell out the fact they never charge a doc fee.

Ignore the 2022 part. Form header wasn't updated. Actual order is a 2023.

Great deal, if only they had more allocations. :(

Seen 0$ up to 800$. I paid 180$ at Granger. I know in some states it's regulated. In my state it is not. Was happy to pay the price at Granger, I thought what they charged was fair.

It gets confusing here in Delaware. We don't have a sales tax, but the state imposes their own "Documentation Fee" for vehicles which is 4.25% of either the sales price or the KBB value (whichever is higher, presumably to still get their pound of flesh from $1 "sales" between family members). So, yeah. When trying to figure out what "the" doc fee for a vehicle purchase here in DE, searches for dealer doc fees are polluted by hits for the state doc fee (which even though the state claims it isn't a tax, it acts just like one).

That said, according to what I was told when I ordered the vehicle, my dealer doc fee is expected to be $499, and I expect the title/tag fee to be $365 as long as the title/tag fee doesn't go up between when I placed my order and when (if) I actually take ownership.

Can you point me to documentation on the $100 fee with xplan?
I had to pay 250.00 when using the Z-plan. I too thought it was limited to 100.00 but that was not so. I believe Ohio limits it to 250.00.

Fairway Ford Greenville SC charged me $337, seems last year it might have been $235.

Document Fees

  • Dealers will be permitted to assess up to $100 in documentary fees on each delivery to an eligible purchaser under the terms of the Plan, unless otherwise provided by state or local laws or regulation. Each dealer is responsible for complying with applicable laws or regulations.
  • Unless otherwise provided by state or local laws or regulation: In states where dealers are not permitted to charge as much as $100 for doc fees, dealers would be capped at the lesser amount as provided by the state. In states that permitted more than $100, dealers would be permitted to charge the Plan customer $100. In states that permitted more than $100 and also required that all customers be charged the same amount, dealers may charge the Plan customer $100 and indicate any additional fees have been paid by Ford Motor Company as part of the AXZD-Plan Program dealer reimbursement on the buyer's order.
  • Doc Fee Charges should be detailed on the AXZD Plan Pricing Agreement located in number 4.
  • New Vehicle Purchase Program customers may use the services of FordDirect and participating Dealers may choose to pay FordDirect's fees without violating this section; provided, however, that any such fees paid to FordDirect by participating dealers shall not be passed on to New Vehicle Purchase Program customers."

$699 at Akins Ford in Winder, Georgia. My $750 "Exclusive Cash Offer" from Ford more than covered it.

I don't think it is the State but the dealer. I had heard that Ford would catch this and refund it but that never happened. I feel I simply donated an extra 150.00 to the dealership. Ohio allows up to 250.00 for doc fees but that does not mean they have to charge that and not less.

$435 Wednesday. It was the only thing I paid over MSRP (other than taxes, etc.)
