Did you test drive a Maverick before ordering

Local dealer had one available and able to sit into make sure it fit . it fit fine and able to buy one about one month later at another dealer . msrp got lucky . 16 months later and still happy with maverick .

I never drove or even sat in one, but I ordered one on 9/15/22 and just received it on Friday 2/24/23 it drives nice and it’s nice and quiet. Worth the wait. But I ordered it without options, just an XLT , I would have loved to get the lux package but didn’t want to wait.

Didn’t see any mavericks until mine came in, was the first my dealer had and first I even seen on the road. Literally got the call it was in, and test drove it right then while sales person was helping a woman. I drove it around with the wife until it said 2 miles remaining and was happy. Signed and drove it home that night. Have had no issues so far it’s been 100% reliable. Took ownership on Dec 6th 2022

I ordered mine last September and except for on the internet I’d never even seen one. Since September I’ve seen exactly three Mavericks. One at a traffic light, and two in parking lots. I still have not sat in one, much less had a test drive. Not the way I’d normally buy a new car, but today’s market is not normal. I am assuming that my Maverick will be in every way light years ahead of my current old rusty and none too trusty daily driver.

I was able to test drive an EB, which I though had great acceleration but ordered a hybrid.

You won't be disappointed. The hybrid has very good acceleration and the Sport mode is awesome.

Yep, lucked out in late January last year. Long McArthur had one on their lot we could try. We were going to order anyway but driving one solidified the decision even more.

No. I made that mistake in 2021. I wasn't able to see one before hybrid orders were cut off for the first model year. Then just ordered a 23 before sitting in one. I have sat in a couple since though.

Not only did I not test drive one, I never even laid eyes on one until I saw a Maverick in traffic four months after ordering mine. Since then, I have only see one other Maverick on the road!!

Tracker has shown "In Production" for a week. However dealer confirmed it's build date is indeed tomorrow.

I'm really surprised that so many people report not seeing many on the road. Here in SWFL I'm now seeing 2-3 every time I'm out on the road for an hour or two. I can see why they'd be a hit here -- for a lot of retirees they're a great little car/truck. And for the working man and woman (who sadly don't have a lot of good-paying job options) they're a good value.

Got to sit in a XLT when I was first interested and decide the interior was ugly (really, orange and blue?) After doing some research, I decided on the XL because the colors of the interior were much more pleasant.

Does the XL have the blue door and dash panels or are they black?

I haven't seen a Maverick on the street but the Ford dealer had a service tech that had one and he let me look at it and sit inside. Couldn't drive it though.
