  1. Built two days into production? Really?

I'm pretty certain they don't observe presidents day at the Mexico plant where the Maverick is built. To add to this; as someone who's worked in aircraft manufacturing for 17 years now, it doesn't matter what day it's built. People who don't give a dang about the quality of their work do a crap...

  3. Mountain Towing Experience with Maverick 2.0 EcoBoost

Nice to see some Midwest folks in here lol. Colinl yeah the Jump Start stations are a little sneaky though. They put the ethanol content stickers down low on the pumps. That 93 octane fuel (I think) is E30. Just a friendly heads up.
  4. Mountain Towing Experience with Maverick 2.0 EcoBoost

Dude small world. I'm from Newton. Braking seemed fine. It was just a gentle application to drop speed a couple MPH here and there. As far as the route, yeah we kept our speed low. 65 most of the way on US 50 except for a small section of 70 MPH around Garden City.
  5. Mountain Towing Experience with Maverick 2.0 EcoBoost

Yessir. It's basically a gear hold as best as I can tell. It'll still up/down shift if needed but that range when it does is raised. Held the revs around 4-5k on the way down.
  6. Mountain Towing Experience with Maverick 2.0 EcoBoost

LOL I hear ya. I think my surprise wasn't that it worked, but that it worked as well as it did. I was not expecting the little 4 cylinder to engine brake as well as it did with a load that size. This was my 6th trip over and back but my first ever with automatic trans vehicle.
  7. Mountain Towing Experience with Maverick 2.0 EcoBoost

Loaded our Maverick up with all our toys for our family trip to Pitkin, Colorado. The town is just on the other side of Monarch Pass which crosses the continental divide. Total load including occupants was around the 3,000lb mark. Truck pulled amazingly. Trailer mode works well and seems to do...

  9. February Build Month Thread

Nothing yet, but I've been dreading it's possible arrival. There was a post of a guy who used an oscillating saw to cut the plastic guide pins. So if it does happen that's the route I'm going.
  10. February Build Month Thread

Ugh! I can't imagine the heartache this must be causing. So sorry for the bad news my dude. I hope there's a way this can be rectified.
  11. Long McArthur 2023 Orders Unite!

Aww man, totally forgot to post on here. Picked up back on the 23rd. Tim and Sarah as well as Sarah's father-in-law in finance are all fantastic people. They were nice enough to come down from the farm show that was going on in town to meet the wife and I. Purchase process was 100% painless and...
  12. Impractical phone holder cord slot?

Wonder if a 90° cord would work in this case.
  13. Cheap auto-dimming, homelink mirror

I'm literally in the middle of this little task for the 4-wire mirror and you knocked out this excellent write-up 20 minutes before I searched the forums for an answer. You're my hero.

  15. TruXedo Pro X15 for $435

Just passing along a deal. Don't know what discount Real Truck give to MTC members. Didn't even think to ask before pulling the trigger 🫠 That said, I think the current discount combo offer at AutoAnything is decent. Added the X15 to the cart ($499) and one of those coupon scanning chrome...
  16. What have you fit in your Maverick?

Heck yeah man. You're getting the most out of your truck.
  17. February Build Month Thread
