I ended up getting this pair of 3 wire LEDs to make them running lights/turn signals. And the smoked covers. We shall see. They're both in the mail, along with my truck.

If you message me I can send you a couple. I had to order a 10 pack.
Hey, could you tell me which wires you tapped for running light and turn signal? Do you have an xlt or lariat? I'm looking to do this on my xlt.

Dad - So glad the covers I had designed worked well for you. I have been working with Ty at GadCad3d on a couple projects. Great guy. Only difference with mine is I used a 3 wire bulb so that I could have them as running lights also. I think it looks great!
RobA979, can you give me a quick run down on the wiring hook up for the 3 wire setup you used? Yours are functioning as running and turn signals, correct?

I'll stick my nose in here. . . Here's how I tapped into the wiring for turn signal and parking lights on my Lariat.
The color coding of the wires for the LED lights I used are red=turn signal, white=ground/neg, black=parking.
I went to my dealer and asked for a print out of the headlight plug. I would have included it but it is probably copyrighted.
The pictures are the driver and passenger side headlight and turn signal plugs (on a Lariat). The wiring is color coded differently on each side.
Hope this helps.

I have a Lariat which does not use the turn signal lamps for DRLs, so there is only two wires to the lamp; hot and ground. Driver's side the hot is blue & white, passenger, yellow on my specific vehicle. The photos I attached are after install with tape, but if you look closely you can see the attachment of the power wiring. I attached the ground to the fender.

I admire your ingenuity!
Thank you very much! Much appreciated, but most of it comes from members such as yourself. Some great ideas here and it's fun to see others take those ideas a step or two further.

I bought the orange lense and I'm undecided about the lights. I'm adding lots or orange to my Catus Gray Maverick, so I'm simply seeing this as cosmetic for now...
I don't see why the company could not 3D print the covers in opaque clear. That would diminish the orange look and still allow an orange LED to do it's job as a turn signal. They are a small, family owned business and people here have mentioned that they are open to custom jobs.

By "parking lights" are you referring to the side markers?

Parking light is meant here be the same as running lights or side markers.

The pictures are great and I appreciate the wiring information. Just for my own clarity, you tapped the side badge lights (a modification described on this thread) into both the side markers and the headlights? If so, I'm thinking you tapped off from the one hot wire on the light so that you could have 2 hot wires - one going to the side marker and one going to the headlight. Correct me if I got that wrong, please.

For the side badge lights, two connectors were used at the turn signal connector. The ground was connected to the thicker wire and the turn signal (the brighter light) was the thin wire.
The parking light (the less bright light) was connected to the headlight connector as shown in the pictures.

Oddly enough, I tried connecting the parking light to the DRL but it turns out that connection is hot all the time at the headlight connector . . . the parking light never turned off in the side badge light.

Also my Maverick is a Lariat, so the front lights are different than the XL and XLT trims.

Hope this helps you.
