So I have a built truck on a train, a signed order sheet with OTD price, and a DORA signed by me at order they used to order from. Assume I will be protected from increased MSRP and destination charges right?

Yes, just make sure they honor it. Some dealers will make you pay the current price not the price when you ordered.

Good for you but bad that the rest of their customers will get taken for a ride. Shame on them.
But all new inventory that isn't scheduled yet and not COVP'd will get it
There is an AND in that statement so it means that only those who are NOT COVP approved will get the price increase.

That is what you have been preaching on your videos: Be sure your dealer does the COVP and get a snapshot showing COVP approval so that you are price protected.

I took your advice and got a snapshot showing that I was COVP approved on 9/26/2022.

I know you are shaming the dealership if they didn't do COVP automatically for their customers (we really don't know if they didn't) and your videos stated over and over again that us customers who ordered to contact (and hound is necessary) to have the COVP done in the timeframe required and get a snapshot showing that it was approved.

My point exactly, if Ford wants you to switch, good luck on that now, if it's going to NOT get you a hybrid AND cost you more $$$.
Heck, I can see a scenario where Ford decides in the next month or two to offer a $1,000 incentive to switch from hybrid to EB because of the number of EB they can still build. So this incentive would only actually be $500. Weird science I know, but I'm just saying....

Correct, all along Ford said that COVP would not affect the order from getting scheduled but was encouraged. I said from the beginning that the reason for COVP was for price protection. We are seeing this come into play big time on the 2023 Bronco orders.

Funny thing, how I stumbled on to this price increase. This morning, I was considering upgrading my XL order to an XLT FX4 order with the same options. After the numbers not coming up like I thought they should, I rebuilt my original order and noticed the price increases. Then found this thread. Since changing trim would change my pricing date, a $3400 difference sure made that an easier decision. Guess I'll be sticking with my XL order.

Ford really doesn’t care if you switch or not. They will build their 35 percent hybrids and send the Ecoboost to the dealers. The dealers will sell very quickly all that Ford can produce. And 50 percent of remaining hybrid customers will be waiting for 2024 with their thumb up their ass and no truck.

I bet a lot of dealers are going to use the price increase as extra profit and say “take it or leave it.”

@fordvideoguy My truck shipped on Jan 11 and is currently waiting for a semi to pick it up from its rail destination and take it to my dealer. Do you know if my price will come back as $500 higher when I go to pick it up?

I was originally a ‘22 order with a VIN that got cancelled and rolled to ‘23. I think that my dealer said there was no way to submit COVP when my order was rolled over automatically by Ford, because the COVP window had already closed. My dealer has been difficult, so I’m just trying to determine if I’ll have to fight for that $500 or not.

You should be good since your window sticker has the old price.

And will probably have to pay a few grand more for a hybrid in 2024.
This truck is starting to lose its appeal to me. Pretty soon it won’t be a cheap truck anymore, it’ll just be an expensive cheaply built truck.

I'm picking my truck up this evening but signed the COVP back when I ordered it in Aug 2022. Will the original price be protected?
