Anyone have the Pittsburgh 3 ton Floor Jack that sells for $124.99 and the Daytona 3 ton Heavy Duty Ratcheting Jack Stands that sells for $49.99 - from Harbor Freight? Looking at buying these and want to know their experience and recommendations. I've checked out Amazon too, but price is higher on Amazon. Probably because of the weight of these items which cost more to ship. Harbor Freight saves on shipping because of bulk freight shipping.

I have the jack, not the stands. Typical harbor freight quality. I use it once or twice a year so it is absolutely fine for me. If I worked on stuff more often I would probably get a better quality one but that's just me. I like good tools. Nothing wrong with the Harbor Freight one.

And yes, anything heavy almost always costs more on Amazon. Gotta watch that.

Depends on how much you use a jack.the Daytona version is a popular one for lot of use.Pittsburgh is fine but daytona is built a little better.long handle version seems to be the choise also.you tube has some good comparison on it.

i have both of what you are looking at. work perfectly fine. i even have the 1.5 ton alum jack. been severely abused and keeps on going. everything cheap is made in china. so just buy whatever has the best reviews.

I have the low profile, long reach 3 ton Daytona jack and it is great. Not to say something can't go wrong with it, but for my use it's good. Just had my Daughter's Mustang jacked up with it yesterday. I don't have the jack stands though, so I can't say one way or the other.

Will a 1 1/2 ton or 2 ton jack work for the Maverick? Is the 3 ton overkill?

If this is you first vehicle with jack points on the sills (pinch welds), get yourself one of these: https://www.amazon.com/2-Pack-Rubbe...ocphy=9021553&hvtargid=pla-568805582093&psc=1

I found a piece of truck tire retread on the side of the highway (without the steel bands) and used a jigsaw to cut a Puck to fit on my jack. That way it won't hurt the body where you lift. Also have the 3 ton floor jack from harbor freight for several years now and it works great.
