Android Auto with Coolwalk Beta on the Maverick - first look & impressions

Got on to Android Autos beta testing and Coolwalk is now popping up. So far it seems very smooth if not smoother than the previous setup/style. I like the multi display and some of the quick options now available. I'm a cable guy so no idea how stable it is wireless.

I'll try to continually provide feedback on it that I can.

FYI: This is on a Lariat Lux so I won't be able to comment on how it'll work/stability on non sync models or with wireless.

I have an XLT and am also an Android Auto beta tester. I have the Coolwalk beta displaying. I've had it for about a week now. It's stable in my truck, the non-SYNC model. I've only had one screen freeze that required me to disconnect my phone. I'll get my AAWireless dongle set up soon and let you all know how well it works with it.

This is just what I want to see on my husband's Lariat - the multi-display screen. I'm going to point him toward this info. Thanks!

This is my current version. I read that you may need to clear the cache then restart. I did a forcestop after the cache clear.

Yes you can, same as Spotify. Bottom left will be like a home/back to multi display option.

This is my current version. I read that you may need to clear the cache then restart. I did a forcestop after the cache clear.

I've read that something on the server side needs to happen. Side loading won't get you anything. If you're part of the beta program though you should be up and running.

I got into the beta program this morning and coolwalk popped up today on my way to lunch. Haven't had a chance to mess with it at all, but the maps screen did seem a little on the small side given how small the Mavericks screen is overall

I got into the beta program this morning and coolwalk popped up today on my way to lunch. Haven't had a chance to mess with it at all, but the maps screen did seem a little on the small side given how small the Mavericks screen is overall

You can blow the map up like the old version. Just tap it and it pops up.

Looks very similar to Apple Car Play. Love the dual card screen. Bout time AA.
