Waze is owned by Google (owners of Android). Recently, they merged the Waze and Google maps teams together. Expect one mapping app in the future.

I've been using Waze for several years with Android Auto. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bugs, especially with updates. At least a few times a month it doesn't work and I have to switch to Google maps.

Yes that's what prompted me to post. I thought maybe Google stopped supporting Waze. It's just a matter of time before it goes away. Thanks.
