Confirmed with sales manager today at my dealership that my Mav will be a 23. No idea when it will be built but ‘it will be built’ is what he had to say and ‘Ford is giving 22 rollover orders priority’. Blah blah. So there it is. No bs. Just what it is. Sit and wait. I won’t worry about it any longer. Just wait.

Just received a phone call. Truck just arrived at the dealership with pickup scheduled for Monday 10/24. Just about 1 year to the day! Can't believe the long wait is almost over!!!

FYI for anyone worried about price protection, there is nothing Ford can do unless you get someone high up in social media.

I had an incredibly helpful lady at the promotions department spend a lot of time to reach out to the team that us mere mortals can't speak to as customers. They confirmed that price protection is automatic, and they can assist dealers and help them fix it if they fudge it up and don't receive it, however it is ultimately up to the dealer to honor it.

Honestly, the best phone experience with Ford to date. She was very empathetic to the issue, had NO problems with the fact that I got the memo from a forum and understood things like that get shared for people trying to help other buyers out. More knowledgeable than anyone else I spoke with, and admitted when she didn't have an answer rather than guess or make it up.

I sent my Hail Mary email to Jim Farley, I was going to DM him on twitter, but I guess he turned that off ( too many people complaining to him ? )

Funny enough the dealer customer satisfaction manager called this morning, and boy was she not expecting everything I shared.

1. Price Protection denied
2. Forced "package" that I had my esignature pasted on something saying it was not required, and the pamphlet on it I had to ask for 100% contradicts what the sales manager told me on how it works.
3. Bird crap and water marks on it when I took delivery, I had to drive right from the dealer to get it clean. Wax / Spray ceramic from the "protection package" I was forced built up on lots of spots that needed to be buffed off.

Going on Vacation for a week, when I come back and have had time to contemplate on this I will make a decision on the social media route, if I want to light that wick. Maybe in that time someone at the dealer will just make it right and tell me I will get a price protection check in ~45 or so the same as they will. This would make me overlook all the other issues.

Funny, about $2600 is what I am worth to a dealer in a lifetime, as that is the amount of money that will keep me from coming back. So much for building relationships I guess.

My 10/24 build week just got changed to the week of 11/21. Why do I get these emails at 7 or 8 pm Pacific? There shouldn't be anyone in the office in Dearborn at that hour.

Just got a call from the dealer. My 11/21 build week is now pushed to 12/19. He said they would know more on Monday. This is the 5th change in the last 40 days. The changes are coming more frequently as time passes.

I got the call from the dealer last week that my July 7th build had arrived. Hadn't been that excited in a long time. Then heard about the side air bag recall. She's literally sitting on the dealer lot with my name on the dashboard.....until Q1 '23, really?! Anyone know anything about the status of the recall?

Last Ford said was early '23. If you already had it, apparently it isn't bad enough to stop driving. I had an XL I just traded in under the recall.

If it is new, the dealer cannot sell it without risking a crazy fine.

Unfortunately their hands are tied until the airbags are being distributed to dealers for repairs.

My dealer is treating my '22 to '23 order as a new order. He is not giving me and priority over new '23 orders and I did not get my Private Offer!! His reason is that I made a change to my '23 order so it now became a new '23 order. Has anyone else had this problem? (I changed from an XLT to a Lariat.

That’s not correct. Call Ford and see if you have an offer. Only reason you wouldn’t is if you had a VIN. If you had a vin, then Ford should be doing an actual roll over.

if you don’t have a private offer your dealer can speak with their sales and inventory specialist, who can look at you previous order and get the offer entered in. ( this was shared to me straight from a Ford rep)

My dealer told me I couldn't make changes under the terms of the conversion. So. You didn't (or, your dealer didn't) do a conversion you did a new order.

Today is my 1 year anniversary since ai placed my Mag order. I went out to look at Tacoma and Santa Cruz yesterday. Toyota dealer had a few Tacos but the Hyundai didn't have any Cruz's on the lot. Just getting ready as I will need a new car next year.

Understandable, but would think your roll-over at a good dealer would be built by the end of January. What were the Tacoma prices for a mid trim as had a 1977 Hi-Lux and a 1986 toyota.
