After several recent “long haul” trips (6 hours or more), I have seen my screen freeze at the 2 hour point. I first noticed this as the map not moving/miles remaining not counting down. The “soft reset” seems to reset things but this shouldn’t be necessary. Is this a common problem? Any ideas...

In my opinion, the Element extinguisher is the way to go. No temperature issues, compact and no residue if used. It also takes longer to expend as opposed to a small 5# bottle.

It's my understanding that these motors are robotically assembled. Recall a video from several years ago of the Porsche assembly line with the engines being put together in 22 minutes! I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case with Ford as well.

On these motors, neither the cam gears or the harmonic balancer are keyed. The are fixed by a one time use bolt and an industrial diamond coated washer. The tensioner is hydraulic. If these parts were installed correctly in the manufacturing process, it is highly improbable that any of them...

The dealer initially told me at least a full day for the reprogramming. Picked it up two hours later. It smoothed out the electric/ICE transition and gave a small improvement to the mileage. No negatives for me.
