Newbie here, so please forgive the ignorance. But how will i know when/if my truck has been scheduled? Does Ford send me an email like the one I received when they confirmed my order?

Sometime within the next two years you may get a call from your dealer letting you know your order is in. You will have 90 minutes to get to the dealer and close the deal. If you're late, they will sell it someone else with a $10-15K markupNewbie here, so please forgive the ignorance. But how will i know when/if my truck has been scheduled? In theory, yes. You will get an email when it is scheduled and one with the estimated delivery date. At the point, the dealer will take over communication.Newbie here, so please forgive the ignorance. But how will i know when/if my truck has been scheduled? Emails have been hit and miss up until the "Week" of email that is pretty final (Though many have continued to get those as their build dates moved around) along with an assigned VIN. Then you should get an email when your truck actually starts down the line, one when it *ships, one when it arrives at the dealer.Newbie here, so please forgive the ignorance. Lol! I guess I better buckle up.Sometime within the next two years you may get a call from your dealer letting you know your order is in. You will have 90 minutes to get to the dealer and close the deal. If you're late, they will sell it someone else with a $10-15K markupGood luck!
90 minutes to get there? You must have a generous dealer!Sometime within the next two years you may get a call from your dealer letting you know your order is in. Scheduling usually happens on Thursdays of the week for scheduling. So if scheduling was supposed to start yesterday, did anyone get a "scheduled" email from Ford?
Physically there is no reason that they can't build the 22 & 23 at the same time. It is the same truck with some new trim components. All the carry over components have the same part numbers. There is no model year assigned to components. Is it even possible to produce 22s and 23s on the same line on the same day?
On the other hand, you will have a 1 year older model with only 40 miles on it. Based upon the resale value of Mav's so far, with so few miles on an older model, my bet is it will result in substantial appreciation in valueI would think that Ford would just push all the remaining 22's to 23's post line conversion. It would not make any sense to try and build out two model years on the same line. At some point you have to cut off the left over 22's. You've also just received a truck with a year's worth of depreciation on it.
I am not a lawyer and I don't play one on TV. Model year and calendar year are two different things. They start building a model year in the previous year. Though I don't think it has ever been done, they could possibly carry a model year over into the next. Can they build a 2022 in 2023? Meaning if they don't finish all the 2022 orders by Jan 2023 is it still legal to do that? Consumer fraud maybe? Or can they do what ever they like?
Seems like the hard part would be producing two different model year spec plates to put on the door jamb at the same time without mixing them upPhysically there is no reason that they can't build the 22 & 23 at the same time.
