I ordered my XLT Hybrid Oct 29th of 2021. It was finally built the middle of Sept. 2022 and shipped fairly quickly. By rail it went from Mexico to Illinois(?). I live in South Georgia. From there, it went to Jacksonville Fl. by rail. Now for the last two weeks, it has been sitting in Jacksonville waiting for a transport.
This is the first new vehicle that I have ordered. So I have no prior experience to look back on. But this has been one process that I never intend to repeat. My hope is that the Maverick will prove to be well worth the wait. If I ever get it.
Our Oct 23rd, 2021 order is still waiting for production. Be glad yours will soon be delivered and enjoy your ride.

Same boat here, never ordered a new vehicle. I've also never owned a Ford. Ordered 7/31/21, finally got my built email 9/15/22. Shipped email came 4 days later (9/19/22) with an expected delivery date of 10/10 - 10/16. I'm still without my truck. No word from dealer. Still waiting.... we're almost there though. I was wondering, are people who are getting there trucks this late still getting the FITS packages? I was assuming Ford may have just forgotten about us since we're coming up on the one year anniversary of that email.

Ahh, Grasshopper. We learn true patience, this is a lesson. (XLT hybrid ordered Oct 21)
Serenity now. Serenity now. Serenity now......

There is a transportation crisis, you know?

It is worth the wait.

An "option" infers something you can do. I cannot afford a vehicle over about $28k. The low $20k price is what first attracted me to the Maverick. The higher the price goes, the less it becomes an "option" for me. I will not finance so unless I have the cash I will have to pass at a certain higher price point.
Option is something available to do. Your desire to take on the consequences does not factor in if it is an option or not. So the primary options people have are:
-Wait
-Pay the price for what is available now (and potentially compromise on options)
-Change to different vehicle
-Don't buy anything

Obviously there are other more extreme options (steal one, hold a Manager for ransom, etc.) that aren't realistic.

If you have eliminated the other options besides waiting (for whatever reason that may be perfectly valid) then it leaves you with waiting. But your decision you want something outside of the options available, i.e. wanting a certain vehicle at a certain price in a certain time frame, does not constitute an emergency on other people's parts to fulfill this. Choose from the options available...

You ordered 20 days after me and have a truck coming while mine still hasn't been built. Ya waiting sucks but it could be worse.

Mine built August 30. It's on a train in Illinois. Still waiting.

wasn't the FITS gear a small bonus just for people that ordered hybrids early and had to wait an extra couple months to ship because of the MPG rating delay in OKTB- instead of a blanket handout for everyone?

Picked up mine Thursday. Ordered 6/10/21. It was worth the wait. It is very quiet. 1/3 of electric driving 38mpg. 103 miles

Here’s a portion of the email they sent me last year. I guess after a take deliverery? Wasn’t sure if people were still getting them? It’s been so long.

Your 2022 Maverick Hybrid pickup will be delivered next year, and rest assured that we'll continue to keep you updated.

As a special thanks for being one of our first Maverick Hybrid owners, we'll be giving you this really cool Ford FITS Accessory Kit after you take delivery of your new truck.

Patience is indeed a virtue. Ordered my xlt hybrid in July 2021. After nearly 15 months, it was delivered on 10/07. On 10/10, the power steering failed along with several other functions (traction control, hill hold, etc.). Been in the dealer’s shop since with no idea when replacement parts will arrive. It was a good 3 days. Back to waiting AGAIN!

I ordered mine 9/22/2021, XLT with LUX package. Unfortunately, back in April when they recommended cutting LUX, I did. Finally I got a build date in early Sept. My build date was for 9/19, which was then pushed to 9/26, then 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24 and finally 10/31...
The upsetting thing is, even if it does get built, it is not the LUX package I initially ordered.
We shall see.
Guess what else I did, ordered my 2023 Lariat trimmed to the max on 9/16/22...I am beginning to think I may be a masochist. Hahahahahaha....the 23 will probably get built before the 22 hahahahahahahahahahshahhahahahahahahaha
Updated again today...
11/28/2022 Build date, hooray!!! At least I know this is the final one. Hahahahahahaha!
