Find another fool that is willing to work for too little for too long.
Im not a socialist by any means, but employers are failing to pay decent wages.
Simple! Live in a trailer, don't buy new cars, invest everything you have in your new business and you too can be a boss and make a million!!

I talk to a guy today that got tired of waiting (ordered in November) and bought a Ranger off the lot). I waited 9 months and got what I wanted for a lot less than a Ranger.

Yes, i know when I want amazing protection I run to the government. Cant wait for more thalidomide, and being that NO COMPANY can be held legally accountable for the jab makes you wonder how trustworthy.
Well, at least the government (in theory) has the public's best interest in mind. Corporations have their bottom line in mind. You can't vote shareholders & trustees out of a Corp. You CAN vote elected gov't officials out.

Sadly, the FDA, EPA, and other gov't agencies came into existence, because corporations were irresponsible and sometimes criminally so. I understand your distrust of the gov't (I'm not very trusting of them either). But do you really trust greedy corporations to do what's right without gov't oversight? Heck, half the time they don't do what's right even WITH gov't oversight.

Part of that could also be because general citizens are dumb. How many actually research what companies stand for and vote with their dollars?? I have a list of companies I refuse to give money to, and it grows by the day. In a true capitalist society the poor responsibility companies would die if the consumer did a little research.

And why would any company care about anything when they can pay less to buy a senator then pay a fine in this corrupt country? Again, we are talking a utopic for verses the demons in DC, a large contrast.

Remember, to make a million, you have to make at least 2 million due to excessive taxation, especially depending on what state you live in. You should know that one.

What many don't realize is that Pre-Covid there was already a Massive driver shortage. If you wan't a CDL and don't have any DUI's, you will have a job immediately. My family has been in the trucking business since the 70's, and they had never seen it so bad. Again, before Covid. Now, it's amazing that we are doing as well as we are. I would hate to be a dispatcher or be in logistics trying to figure this out. They can't keep drivers and these are mostly good paying jobs.

FYI, being an independent driver used to be very lucrative, but due to Insurance, fuel, and the costs of owning a rig, it's really difficult to make that work in this day and age.
You and your family might find this encouraging— a guy where I work is about 29 or 30 with a wife and little girl. Doesn’t have a college degree, but has a very good work ethic. Doesn’t make more than probably $35-37,000 at his current spot after ten years. He signed up for a tractor trailer class a couple months back. It is taking a while since it is Saturdays only, but said he really enjoys it and can’t wait to get on the road. Told me there are a couple young women in the class.
