So anyone ordered on 09/19 (at least hybrid) and feel like you might not be able to be built?
I'm starting to feel this way lol I'm going to hold out hope that maybe just maybe at the end of 2023, they might just barely be able to build my truck.

But for now it's feeling likely I'm just going to end up with a Civic EX-L Hatchback or Integra A-Spec w/Tech pkg and just be happy with that lmao because as much as I'd love a small truck, motherfuckers in North Alabama are speed racers and expect you take curvy roads that are 45mph limits at 75mph minimum. (it's easily the thing I hate most about people here)

the Maverick is cool but it's main draw (hybrid) isn't worth waiting 2 years for to me lol
It's the coolest hybrid on the market right now in my opinion, but I've gone this long without a hybrid, and a Civic/Integra would still be leaps and bounds more fuel efficient than my current daily which rocks a somewhat thirsty 4.2L straight six mated to a 4 speed automatic (thanks GM) I love the engine mind you but ugh it's not fun when gas is above $3/gal ($3.37/gal is what I paid for my last fill up and it's plateaued here at about $3.40/gal or so.)

My email from Ford said my hybrid was one of the early Lariat orders. I figure I might be driving it by Labor Day. I'm glad I bought the 22 eco Lariat I'm driving now. Great little truck, really fun to drive. 28 mpg isn't bad . Maybe I'll just keep it.

I ordered the morning of 9/16 and I don’t feel confident. I am not going to wait forever for the truck and realistically they wont start building them till january and that will only be for rollover orders and the dealers kids.

Don't hold your breath on this folks. A bunch of MY22 folks just got pushed to build weeks of 12/12 and 12/19!!!!

You 23 folks better not expect any 23s until spring at earliest...

Either that or cancel the leftover MY22 regardless of VIN to make room for MY23. Ford has to start at some point.

I’ve driven the new Civic in sedan format. It is a very nice package as long as you don’t mind driving a CVT equipped vehicle. In fact I’m now getting into a situation where I will actually really need that 22 Maverick that keeps getting pushed out. I do have a 23 hybrid on order but like you I don’t expect to see that any time soon. If Ford cancels my scheduled with VIN 2022 I might give up on that and get a Civic Instead.

My only concern with Honda is whether they have fixed the oil dilution problem in the turbo engines but since you can get a Civic with a naturally aspirated motor I think I’d go that route. The one I drove was equipped that way and had plenty of power for everyday commuting. Besides I like the old school Honda engines you have to rev to get power out of.

Wondering if that guy who was convinced by his salesman his 23 would be delivered in 143 days is still believing.

Yeah, I still think 143 days looks good! But as I mentioned in my original 143 day thread, that is 143 days average from production to delivery and I still think that will happen!
To me, what that means is that the last of the MY23 Ecoboost orders that were placed as of 9-21?-22 are expected to be delivered roughly 286 days after the start of MY23 production!
I am not a cockeyed optimist, but this makes sense to me!
I think there is a good chance that some of the MY23 Hybrids may not get built, once again, due to constraints. For that reason, I switched my order to an Ecoboost at the last minute. Here's hoping I'll be right on both!

Or read the context of the post to which I replied. I think the MY23s will be pushed back. Because an alternative is that Ford finally says "screw it" and just cancels the remaining MY22s so they can start MY23. Ford could also just cancel the MY22 VINs and issue MY23 VINs and put them at the front of the line. Or Ford could simply be starting the MY23s they can start while pushing the MY22s that are still waiting on parts but will still be built before a like MY23. We don't know.

Given the only substantive change between the two MYs are the package contents, I honestly don't know why it wouldn't be all that difficult to build both at the same time.

Edit: Adding this in because I thought about this later. I personally think what Ford ends up doing is deleting options to get the remaining MY22 built. So, if everyone who has one is waiting on a SIBL, for example, Ford may just axe it wholesale.

Yeah I think living with a 4L60E I probably could put up with a CVT. I wouldn't be against a Sport or Sport Touring Model (or getting the same package I already want on the integra but with the manual) and learning to drive manual lol

As the owner of a 2023 Integra with the 6-speed - highly recommended, and easy to attain at MSRP. We have 6,200 miles now in 2.5 months. It regularly averages close to 40mpg on highway trips and its ELS Studio 3D stereo (with an absurd 16 speakers) punches far above its price.

We also bought a 22 Civic Sedan Touring in January for my mother. Also a fantastic car, and the CVT is fine. Honda's oil dilution issues were repaired years ago and were primarily caused by worst-case usage (short trips in cold climates). As long as you never hear the Integra's ELS stereo, the Bose in the Civic is also quite good.

My guess is that they might try and pump out what they're able to build of the 22s and those with further constraints will be slipped into the '23s where possible to finish the production off. Otherwise, you'll have people w/assigned VINs getting cancelled off and I just don't know if Ford would risk that extreme w/no means to accept a reorder on them anymore. It's possible it could happen, and sure as the heck wouldn't be right, so I think they'll work hard to avoid it.
