Ford Pass Points question -- how to link FordPass and my Maverick order?

I just made a FordPass account, and already have a Maverick on order. How do I make it so when I buy the Maverick the points go to my FordPass account? Right now it seems like there is no link between my FordPass and my Maverick order, other than that they are both under the same email.

Just make sure to give your dealer your Ford Pass "member ID" at the time of sale....and make sure that you active the modem at the time of sale as well. Should be no problem then!

Once you get a VIN, you can start tracking the order. But you will not be able to fully associate the truck to your FordPass account until delivery because you have to confirm it... in the truck.

You tell FordPass via the app to send a signal to your truck, which will show up on the screen in the truck and you have to confirm via hitting "OK" or "Accept" or whatever in the truck. It is essentially proving that you have physical access to the vehicle.

Edit to add: You can add your Maverick in the app via VIN before it is built. I have added mine to the app and it is not scheduled to be produced until later this month. But adding it at this point doesn't result in any extra buttons showing up or anything. I can see I have a Maverick associated with my login and app, but cant do anything with it.

It ensures positive control of the truck. In some cases, the dealer handles this for you as I didn't have to do anything for my Escape and it was added.

I have the app also and my vin is there. My Mav is shipped, so hopefully 2 or 3 weeks.

How long does it take for the points to get added to your account? I activated the FordPass account, and tested the lock/unlock on the app with the salesman, so the app works. But no points yet

My understanding is that the purchase is tied to your email. I was in the dealer to get service on my wife's Escape, and asked about the points. They changed the email from my wife's, to mine that has the pass associated with it. The points showed up a couple of days later for the service call. Assume its same for truck purchase, I'll let you know next week when mine comes in.

Must you run the FordPass app on a phone, or can you use a tablet with WiFi?

Any device that runs Android or Apple operating system and has access to the app store for either Google Play or the Apple App Store.
