Thanks. I'll be sure to use them for something in the next few months. Not sure what though. Thanks!!!!
FWIW, when I get a "Works" oil change and tire rotate, I ask the service adviser to apply 8000 points ($40) to the balance, roughly cutting the cost in half. This way, they last longer.

Ahh okay - the person I spoke with didn't mention that - just that they could only go back 12 months to add points from a repair. Guess it's no points for me.
The dealer's sight says you get 31k points for a purchase on a new vehicle. When I bought my 22' mav, I received 42k. Well, last week I got my 25' mav and it took two days, but got my points, 42k. No joke. I didn't ask why, just will enjoy having them. And with the Ford CC, I get 5% more on purchases, only from buying Ford products. I don't have to buy only Ford products, but I do because that is what I got it for. No overspending as I have other cards for that. Right now there are 90k points I plan to use next week on installs of all the items I got for free from Ford, like 5 items. It's a win-win situation.

If it was something that just occurred 6-8 months ago yeah I would say to fight for it but unfortunately like they said they expire. I will say it's kind of nice cuz I used some of mine to get a vertical net for the bed of the truck. And then I had my first oil change and used points for that so it was free. And then I still have about 70 bucks worth of points so probably my next oil change will probably be free too.
On a new vehicle, your first oil change should have been free. Maybe different dealers off different perspectives.

Maybe, just maybe, if you apply for the Ford CC, they may award you 42K points.
I got a Ford rubber bed mat, fits perfectly in the bed. I got the bed separator, the cleats to hold it, a tailgate assist, a side bed tool box, a pet cover for the back seat, all free due to points. I used the CC from Ford to make down payments waiting on the truck and the points added up quickly. Cannot go wrong.

Hey all - I've Ford Pass but don't have a Ford CC and the last new Ford I purchased was an Escape back in 2015.
Back in 2019 we had some major repair work done on the Escape (long story) - and now that I'm about to pull the trigger on a 25 Lariat I thought I'd use up myfordPass points I assumed I'd have from the repair.

When I pulled up my account I see I have zero points. It looks like the dealer that did the repair back in 2019 didn't submit it for points.

I spoke with FordPass - they pulled up the invoice (and I have a copy of it from the dealer) but FordPass said that they can't, by policy, retroactively add points for service that was done more than 12 months ago - even if it was the dealer that failed to submit it.

In the scheme of things I am not too pissed off, but still think it's not right. Since I've never used FordPass before I just wonder if it's worth fighting the fight for this. Repair invoice was ~ $2,300 so is it worth it?

I'm not purchasing my new truck from the same dealer, so I have no leverage on the deal (It's Granger so it's already a great deal) - was just thinking of using the points for Ford Accessories.

Thanks.
FYI

Dealers don't "submit" anything to Ford pass. Ford automatically takes repair order data from Ford dealers overnight. So there is an automated process used to identify repairs eligible to generate Ford Pass points. Sometimes there can be failures in this process.

Dealers do have to "opt in" for Ford Pass.....so it is possible that some dealers are not participating, and therefore points can't be generated from repairs at that dealership?

Missing points are usually just due to a "glitch" in the automated process, or as others have mentioned, it is possible that your points simply expired.

I used mine for 3 dealership oil changes and one left side bed cubby ( $45) so far .
Have about $35 value left which is half the price of oil change . worth it imo .

Hmm I see there's no annual fee for the Ford Pass CC.

I'm fortunate enough that I can pay off my CC debts fully every month so I never carry any interests charges so I don't really care about the rate.

I probably won't be purchasing much from Ford and typically put my bills on a 2% cash back no annual rate card, but since I have upcoming Mav purchase I think I will get the Ford CC, and maybe use it for paying off the Ford extended warranty... might as well get the points from that as well.

one more question please, if anyone knows this off the top of their head without me searching around.

When I purchase the 25 Laroiat in March/April I assume I'll get a bucket load of points ~40K worth? Maybe after the sale I can then use them for Ford accessories? What's the story on points with a new vehicle purchase? Thanks again.
We got points for our 2023, paid for some major repairs on our 14 F150

Our dealers don't do that. The only thing they really offer is if you buy new tires through them then rotations and balancing are free for as long as you own those tires or the car. Meaning if you sell the vehicle then it's done, or if you buy newer tires later from somewhere else. But keep buying through them and it's free. Which I guess if you rotate every oil change it's nice.

Hmm now I am also wondering, if I do get the FordPass visa, if I can use it in purchasing the FordPass extended warranty? Ideally put the 20% down and the monthly 0% payments on it (purchase from Granger) - and rack up some points that way too.

Great idea I've been thinking about buying the extended warranty for my 23. I didn't realize that they had a 0% payment plan.
Thank You

I called Ford and they said the dealership has to put you in for the points. And they said you need to ask the dealership to put you in for points when you pay for stuff.
I called the dealership and they said they would take care of it, but they didn't. It's been 3 months now.
I will call them again. In a few weeks I plan on stopping by in person to get the points to my account if they aren't motivated to do it by my next phone call.
Ford said there is a 1 year window to retrieve points.

=========================================================
I bought a Maverick last Thanksgiving. It is almost 2 months.
They specifically said I will get 31,000 points within 2 months. I will give Ford until the end of January to give me 31,000 points (which comes out to $155 to spend at Ford) into my Ford Pass account before I contact Ford using their LIVE CHAT that is on their website to ask about my points.
For service or parts, reading their rules, I think you need to tell them specifically to get the points.

It isn't really 0%; there's some fixed percentage administrative fees associated with it.

You'd have actual 0% for 6-months with the Fordpass anyways.

That said the Fordpass Visa has decent rewards. In addition to the points from Ford/travel/auto-related purchases there's one-time $100 credit if you spend $3000 in the first 3 bill cycles. So good for using as a down payment card and/or wait a month or two and use the FordPass points from the vehicle purchase to pay down part of the ESP and put the rest on the card. You also can get $200 credit annually when you spend $6k so that's effectively a 3.33% cash back without any specific category requirements.

Well, last week I got my 25' mav and it took two days, but got my points, 42k.
Has anyone else received 42k points for their purchase of a 25 Maverick?
