How many of you ordered a Maverick without even test driving it?

I ordered a 2023 Lariat AWD on 9/21 without ever driving one, but I own a 2021 Bronco Sport OBX which I will be trading in whenever delivery happens. The Maverick should have similar driving qualities with a better power band, which was my main disappointment with the BS OBX. The 1.5L engine in the BS is rather disappointing in the mid-range torque band. Kind of hard to understand why Ford did not use the 2.0L in all models as they did in all gas models of the Maverick. I was told my delivery date will be 6 months out or more, but it will be worth the wait.

Other than the disappointing power of the BS how do you like it overall? When I ordered my Maverick the wife fell in love with the Sport. Ended up ordering her a '23 Big Bend in Eruption Green a couple days later.

Other than that issue it is a very fine vehicle. Great economy and solid after a year in service. But I’m a performance guy. Just wish I had gotten the Badlands model.

If I was ordering for myself that's the route I would have gone as well. This was more about a newer, safer, more economical rug for the wife. Sure did do some serious thing on the badlands with the build and price before ordering though. No point in dropping the extra cash for her to go get groceries in or the occasional bag of hog feed. I figure the money saved on getting the BB could go towards finding a nice little Scout 800 project for myself.

Actually had the opportunity to drive a hybrid XL, but it was after ordering my 2.0 Lariat. That order was placed in August of 2021. The test drive was satisfactory enough to keep my order in. Should have my order here in about a week, end of October 2022!

For that, the BB will be a most excellent choice.

The first time I saw the inside of a Maverick was the day I took delivery. I ordered it blind , waited 14 months, I've had it a week now, still figuring it out.

No hybrid or even EB to test drive so yeah I took a gamble for a year. It's getting closer as my hybrid is sitting at a local dealer 3 miles away while I'm taking care of the paper work with Chapman. Hopefully, get it sometime next week.

Saw one, sat in it to see if I’d fit…. 6’4” so standard practice, about 9 months ago, researched some info, stopped in a week before the order banks were set to open….. the had 4 hybrid xls sitting there. Took one for a spin and did a build to save in the computer. Ordered mine at 4pm on the 16th, number 22 at the dealer, next day they had 78 total orders

Exaxctly what I ordered for 2023 with the addition of the manual rear window and luxury package.

I ordered one thru dealer 6/21 but cancelled 6/21 because of lack of call backs . then saw and actually sat (fit nice) in one at ( 9/21) Mullinax Apopka . could of bought that one (msrp 39k+) but it was loaded lariat ( wrong color) . called outlying dealers around orlando and found one that was dealer ordered and no deposit . Right options (price msrp )and color so put deposit on it over phone . test drove it just prior to purchasing and picked up on 10/31 . have enjoyed it since . added undercover armor tonneau and bugflector 2 in 03/22 . XLT , awd , ecoboost , 360 , fx4 , full spare , 2k hitch , and all weather floor mats .

Ordered one based on the escape 2.0 and how that one drives. My daughter has a 2017 EB titanium. After I ordered on the 16th then I sat in an XLT used, $42,900 on the lot. It felt great and I had my hat on , no sunroof on mine.

Finally got it today and love it. Waited since 9-22 and it’s all I expected!
