  1. Maverick Old Farts

I'm a young 'un, just sixty! I agree with Superdog, this little P'up is ideal for us. Bought it with folks in mind (still have two moms and a dad). Plenty of room in the back seat and easy enough to get into, even at ninety-three years young. Yet has a bed that is big enough to throw a washer...
  2. First Time Snow Storm Performance Review (AWD Maverick in Wisconsin) 👍

Have the fx4; the P'up is fine here in the snow (up to 8" around the KC, Kansas area), tires at @ 5,000 miles leave a little to be desired. Plenty of engine/drive train for a little more tire. That said, this is as much snow as we have had in about a decade so why would I go to the extra...
  3. The Builder's partially unbiased Maverick observations.

Maybe not the BEST color, but it does look good! I had to fudge the order form to get silver wheels to contrast with the blue body, the black rims with the silver is sharp.
  4. Ford Performance Chase Rack for 2022+ Maverick Now Available

Remember seeing "Wild Kingdom"? The chase rack is just that., a rack to hold on to and chase down critters and tie them off. So if you are going to rope a wildebeest (or maybe a Holstien) you should get yourself one. Oh, except it won't actually stay on the truck if you use it, based on the...
  5. YOU BETCHA MINNESOTA MAVERICKS

Loved Mickey's, unfortunately they are no more.
  6. Ford Removed Co Pilot assist without notice.

I ordered my Mav 1-1/4 years ago and just got it about 3 weeks ago. I have the assist...turned off. Most of my driving is in light to no traffic. What surprised me was that Ford has decided to remove navigation from its vehicles. I got the Lariat, no nav! Found out after the fact that they are...
  7. [SEMA 2022] Maverick Build w/ 2.5" Superlift Lift Kit, N-Fab Roof Rack, Bushwacker Fenders, BAKFlip MX4 Hard Folding Tonneau Cover, RTR Wheels

Can't we all just get along!?! I tend to agree that the wheel well extensions look a bit goofy, especially with smaller tires. But they are really there to serve a purpose and tires that stick out beyond them defeats the purpose. I live on gravel and have every intention of getting extensions on...
  8. How many of you ordered a Maverick without even test driving it?

Actually had the opportunity to drive a hybrid XL, but it was after ordering my 2.0 Lariat. That order was placed in August of 2021. The test drive was satisfactory enough to keep my order in. Should have my order here in about a week, end of October 2022!
  9. Dealer called and offered me a Maverick today

$40,000 is not out of line for a loaded Lariat. When I ordered mine on August 17th (2021!) I had an estimated price of $38,000. That was with everything EXCEPT the first year package. I did not want to lose the extra inch of head space for window in the roof I would never use. Lariat w/Lux...
  10. Truck camper sleeper for Maverick?

One thing being overlooked is mounting. Campers have had some way to connect them to the frame of a vehicle for, roughly...ever. This is a unibody. Without some sort of extra structural attachment point a bed mounted camper may prove unsafe.
  11. The dreaded email from ford

To All, Just got my "dreaded" email with VIN on August 18th. Almost exactly a year after ordering! So they are still trickling off the line. Now it is just a matter of getting a decent price for the Escape PHEV I have had for all of two months! Or not. The 55 mpg's I am getting with an hour...
  12. Tell Me Your Ordering Experience

Hey, another August order! Was supposed to get it October. No, wait, probably December. Haven't heard s>>t since, and do not really expect to. I ordered it loaded (2.0, Lariat, 4wd, tow package, special wheels) with the exception of the 1st year (did NOT want a sunroof) so the price was good...
