I managed to get my dealer to move mine up to a 10, what that will do, only time will tell.Several posts refer to dealers and their ability to change priority codes. It is my understanding that dealers have nothing to do with this. That is administered by the Regional area within those dealerships. The Region looks at all the orders and finds the ones they can send on to build and then that code reflects that decision. If your code was 19 and goes to 10, it wasn't done magically by the dealer. The Regional office is saying, looks like we have enough stuff to build this one. Ask your dealer about what region they are in. Boom
Priority codes only matter within the dealership orders. So their customers will be upset but it doesn't put them necessarily ahead of another dealership because they are a 10. Orders are fulfilled within dealer's allocations.Tim, do those discussions also include what Ford intends to do about Rogue dealers entering new orders with priority 10 in contravention of the rollover instructions.
There is enough anecdotal evidence that thousands of new orders are being entered this way, which makes a mockery of the rollover program. Not to mention more customer dissatisfaction for rollover customers who may loose out yet again.
We really need to hear the Maverick marketing team response to that question to maintain confidence in the rollover program.
Ford will usually use the Retail order verification program but they mean customer order verification program. There isn't a way to add documents into the rovp like last year. Last year ROVP stood for Reservation to Order Verification Program. They didn't take reservations this year. It was a mess last year. Most dealers didn't know how to respond to reservation leads. Not sure, but I think a COVP = Customer order verification program, and a ROVP = Retail order verification program. The ROVP may be for dealer orders. We would have to get verification from Tim @fordvideoguy to be sure![]()
We will sell over 500 2022 Mavericks, that would be sold which is the allocation formula is based off of plus they are ramping up production and with the extra allocations we should get extra allocations with the second replenishment at the end of the month.Tim, I have an order though LM, and am curious about your response, I watch your live streams and recall you said that LM delivered something around 9 Mavs per week on average, that is well under 500 units. You also stated that LM has over 700 orders submitted, do you really believe that LM will receive that number of allocations? I see many of your customers not receiving a MY23 Mav as a result. Thoughts?
Is the allocation strictly sales or what was sold?We will sell over 500 2022 Mavericks, that would be sold which is the allocation formula is based off of plus they are ramping up production and with the extra allocations we should get extra allocations with the second replenishment at the end of the month.
Share of region in sales and since we sell more Mavericks in the region by almost double the #2 store, we will receive the bulk of allocations for our region. I talked about the formula in one of the livestreams, don't remember the episode right now.Is the allocation strictly sales or what was sold?
Example:
Two dealers sold 500 trucks. Dealer A sells 80% hybrids while Dealer B sells 80% Ecoboost. Will they both still get the same allocation because they both sold 500 trucks or will the 65/35 split play a roll and result in Dealer B ending up with more trucks?
sorry to disappoint you guys. I was a 22 October order and got the email last year saying my order was confirmed. Received 2 other emails from Ford thanking me for my patience. Did not receive the June or July email and called my dealer to find out their “former” sales manager never entered into COVP system. So I had an order, ford chat confirmed twice yet i didn’t get a truck and not eligible for private offer.Good to know, Thanks.
Good point. Just be sure to keep in mind that @fordvideoguy said to give them a little time to complete the COVP process. Many are still catching up with the follow-up paperwork and Ford's response has been surprisingly (sarcasm here) slow to confirm. When I visited my dealer today, he was sitting with a stack of orders working through the COVP process for all of their Maverick orders.sorry to disappoint you guys. Bottom line have your dealer email you copy of COVP from Ford saying approved before the Oct 5 deadline. Don’t take no for an answer. Just some painful experience talking
Do you think the extra allocations assumption would apply to all dealers? Although I received my email confirmation from Ford when I enquired about the COVP from my dealer they said Ford told them a smaller than expected allocation amount and I might not get mine built because so many of the 22’s had to be carried over and they are sucking up most of their 23 allocations. We will sell over 500 2022 Mavericks, that would be sold which is the allocation formula is based off of plus they are ramping up production and with the extra allocations we should get extra allocations with the second replenishment at the end of the month.
I've seen reports ~20% of the MY22 did not get filled. So, I would be surprised if they are sucking up all the MY23 allocations. But perhaps your dealer was not so lucky get as many of their MY22 orders filled.Do you think the extra allocations assumption would apply to all dealers? Tim, thanks for your response and insight. I hope you are correct and look forward to you covering this topic on your live streams. Dragging us back a few months, say late spring, didn't Ford say they were going to use first in first out (excluding the effects of constraints) to produce retail orders and not use the allocation system? Did I dream that? They are in talks about the system at headquarters and will be getting back to us to exactly how they plan to give allocations. They realize that changing it on dealers during the launch of the order banks wasn't the right thing. I have faith they will make it right to the dealers that have worked hard in 22MY and help customers and delivered Mavericks. Dealers that didn't pay attention and didn't think it was a model worth marketing should not be reward allocations. They need to base it on sales in last 12 months like they do for all other model lineups.
