My salesman took a photocopy of my license and the cc receipt, so I'm assuming that was for one or the other or both.

This sucks. I ordered on Saturday, my dealers claims the order was entered to Ford, but I still no confirmation from Ford that it was actually submitted. After 15+ phone calls, emails, and texts to both the salesman and person who enters the orders to Ford with little response back except one time near the end of the afternoon assuring me it was entered, I'm worried it's not. Bullshit that 2 days after the order banks open might be too late!
The dealer should have given you a Preview Order F### sheet. That F### number is the dealer code. The Sales Code on the sheet, F##### is your order number. Call Ford Customer Service with those two numbers to confirm your order is in.

They are the same thing.

" We still encourage dealers to utilize the Customer Order Verification Process (COVP) for all retail orders, but this will not be part of the retail order scheduling criteria. "

Not necessary, but encouraged. They are cutting off the timeline to get this done for retail Maverick orders.

Our dealership is still planning on doing it for all orders.
@KevCuRaoi - Why do you think the notification to dealers stated ROVP by OCT 5 but later states " COVP not required but encouraged"

Not sure if you saw that? Any idea on your dealers allocations..... not sure if you've seen the next item of concern for many people ordering.... dealer allocation estimates are out from at least one high volume dealer.... they got 11

my dealer turned in my order Friday afternoon. Still haven’t received a response from Ford saying they excepted my order. Anyone else still waiting for a response?
I got mine right away on Friday. Salesman put in it a 4:55. I got an email from Ford at 4:56. Which did not happen when I put my initial order in last October.

I did see that. Still confusing from Ford. I think that in order for COVP/ROVP (same thing), to be approved by Ford for 23 Maverick, they will have to be submitted by that date. But they aren't necessary.

I have not heard anything about allocation. I really doubt that a high volume dealer like that would only get 11 for the year. That would be insane. Where will all of the Mavericks go?? My guess is that that was the estimate for the 1st month? That would make more sense.

Could be punishment for excessive ADM. Didnt Ford say they were going to reduce allocations for those dealers?

And I just saw the chart.... still doesn't make any sense that 11 could be right!

My dealer isn't taking anymore orders. Any dealers in Iowa that are accepting hybrid orders today?

That is possible... Some penalty for ADM or manipulation of retail orders might be at play.

I really don't know what to think now!

Unfortunately, there is not much that Ford Chat (or calling the Ford number) can tell you. Over the last year I have contacted Ford Chat roughly a dozen times. Basically they can confirm 3 things: 1) If you are still in "order processing" or have a VIN, 2) If your order is "clean" (usually they will say your order is "Unschedules: Clean" or in the worst case may say "Unscheduled: Balanced Out", and 3) What your current Priority Code is. They cannot tell you if a COVP/ROVP has been approved or any other details about your order. They have a pre-canned response of "Thank you for your new Ford order. Please contact your local dealer for details.". While they can confirm that you dealer has entered an order into the Ford WBDO system, they cannot tell you if that order is actually "good" or not.
This is a big flaw in Ford's customer service. Customers being told their orders are "clean" when they might not be. 🤷‍♂️

Looks good!

From Ford CS:
I am seeing that your secondary status is "Unscheduled- Clean." This means it is just waiting for the next available production week.
No, it doesn't. Unscheduled Clean just means COVP was done and your order is confirmed in the system. "Order Processing" means the same thing. Many of us are/were in 1 or both of those 2 holding patterns for MONTHS- and new constraints can occur that delay things without you or dealer even knowing about it. If you are not at Priority 2, they are not even looking at selecting your order for Production.

Yeah, customer service told me my order was in "Order Processing" and that I'd get an email from Ford within 7 days of my order date. I haven't gotten anything from Ford except from the Dealer, I got a "Preview Order" sheet.

Ford Maverick ⛔️ Official bulletin: 2023 Maverick order banks closing on 9/20 (Hybrid) and 9/21 (EcoBoost) 1663686261006

When I called and asked about COVP and ROVP, the guy on the phone (not my salesman) talked to his manager and said "Everything looks good on our end." I asked about COVP again and he said something along the lines of "I'm not going to lie to you. Your order is good." Whatever, man....

Kevin- isn't the COVP where they confirm you identity and address? After I got my order from the dealer he said he had to enter all of the info again after he got my license.
