The copy of the covp that my dealer sent me has a tracking number on it, along with a note that Ford would acknowledge the covp within 72 hours. I'm assuming the tracking number then is their evidence that they sent it into Ford, if they have to call on it for some reason they would cite that number.
Are you able to attach it as an example?

How can we verify our order has been ROVP'd outside of asking the dealer and taking their word when they say yes? We've heard too many stories about mess ups with OVPs last year.

Is an email from Ford confirming your order enough?

I called 1-800-392-3673 gave them my Sale Code and Order Code from the documentation my salesman gave me and she confirmed my order is in their system waiting scheduling. She also chuckled and said she didn't blame me for being paranoid because the order books for the Hybrids closes tomorrow.

When they mention that information for 2024 will be out at a later date means to me that 2023 is going to be a short run. My guess is April 2023 for start of '24MY production.
With the demand they are seeing I just don't understand making the '23 a short run. I think they are going to open the order windows intermittently through the year.

From what I have read, if you were not asked to provide a driver's license, then they can't complete the ROVP. IF you provided a driver's license and signed a copy of your order, then your dealer has everything they need to complete the ROVP since a deposit was not required. So, it is up to your dealer to properly follow-up on that.

I also do not believe you will get an email the ROVP is complete. That only goes to the dealer and they will reach out if they need something else.

If I had to hazard a guess, the COVP involves the deposit, which is why it is optional.

I gave up on trying to order a Tremor. Since I held out, I will probably be waiting for the trim I settled for. I was at my dealership the minute the banks opened. If I had known I couldn't order a Tremor, I would've ordered the alternative then and maybe avoided months of waiting. This process really sux...

It could also mean they will announce 2024 details in July of 2023, which is at a later date. Basic noncommittal corporate language. I use it all the time in my job.
Yeah. Keep in mind, this is correspondence to dealers. Certain dealers have accepted retail orders well in excess of their typical allocations on some of the hottest models (you may have seen them mentioned on here offering the best deals). Basically, Ford is saying that dealers shouldn't exceed their allocations, as they should expect any customers whose 2023 order is not fulfilled/rolled over to 2024 will not be offered a "transition offer" (the $1750 EB/$2750 hybrid incentive for those who had to reorder for 2023). So the customers will be upset and it's the dealer's problem, not Ford's. That's what they're saying.

I hear what your saying but I worked in the auto world for 40 years and most of them as a Ford vendor. In Ford speak this statement says look for something within 6 months or so. The last info I have shows 2023 production through 3-31-23. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I don't see how that makes sense. If a person thinks they can't order the vehicle they want they'll move down their list to the next option. I believe they're scaling back the customer orders so they can allot more resources to stock orders and get more on dealership/fleet hands. One off orders are unique and require more attention. Stock orders are assembly line and easy to pump out larger quantities.

Yep, he keeps talking about my 22 order being priority 2.. I told him it's literally not going to happen, so here is what I want on my 23... I've even emailed the inventory manager. It's insane that I will have to take steps to talk to a manager, and this is from someone who worked there for almost 10 years.. I feel bad for everyone who has no connections at their dealerships if it's this bad for me.
Can't believe that they didn't place my order just to get rid of me yesterday when the sales manager and I had the heated and loud discussion in the middle of their showroom with customers looking on.
