With that rationale Ford should be losing tons of business with the production issues surrounding the Bronco. Don't see that happening anytime soon. My wife has a reservation for the Bronco, and based on her projected build, we will not see her Bronco built until late NEXT YEAR, and may not even see the car until early 2023. Does that matter? Somewhat, but we are willing to wait for what we want. That is the whole purpose of ordering your build. The Maverick will be the fourth car I have had built to order. The earliest I have received any of the first 3 builds was 75 days from order to delivery. And if you look ahead to the future, manufacturers are moving to "made to order" vehicles, with a dealer supply of stock vehicles of 60 days or less.
75 days is reasonable, 375 is not. I also have a push to "22" Bronco order. I 've spent a carreer in manufacturing, I understand the nightmare of logistics, but our customers would never expect us to say "See you next year" it's just not reasonable. I had a boss who's favorite line during crunch time was" I don't care how, but make it happen ", if it was manpower the O/T checkbook was open, if it was a vendor issue they were served with penalties, etc.
If it's chips, go the F-150 route & build & let dealers install , just keep what little confidence we have left by pushing units out of the assembly line.
Now that I vented I'll just get comfortable and wait way to long for our new Fords, ....you know who going to suffer the most, dealers C.S.I scores (Customer Satisfaction Index) even though they are just as out of control as we are.
75 days is reasonable, anything else is shame on Ford, & they are the ones pushing the made to order model.
Nothing grinds my gears more than G.M. getting a good laugh at Fords missteps.

Check out the Bronco Forum. Reservations opened in July 2020 and a lot of them aren't looking at build dates until 2022 or maybe even 2023.
Correct....That's why I bailed as I was one of the likely 2023 deliveries. As long as I'm not looking at mid-to-late 2022 for the Maverick then I'll be happy.

B.S. Ford has to take the finger out of their ass, or quit taking orders they have no capacity to fill!
They don't have the capacity as of THIS WEEK. The constraints are for THIS WEEK, we don't know that they'll carry over for how much longer. Just a present constraint, they're not going to stop taking orders because of short-term supply issue..

Soo much bitching and moaning in this thread. If y'all can magically source CONSTRAINED parts and components better than FORD, GO DO IT!

Also, anybody concerned by the "Lux" package availability, to put it into perspective, our order tracker as of today shows 49% of total builds are XLT (35.4% of those have LUX) putting total XLT-LUX at 17.3% off all orders tracked. Looking at non-FE Lariats, that is 30.3% of builds (35.6% of those have LUX) putting total Lariat-LUX at 10.8% of builds..

(25) 2022 Maverick Order Tracking List & Stats [Enter Yours!] | MaverickTruckClub.com - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Info

XLT w/ LUX currently accounts for 17.3% of total builds
Lariat w/ LUX currently accounts for 10.8% of total builds

So from our forum's sample, we can see the XLT Lux is only a little more desirable than they can currently produce, the Lariat Lux it seems we have less demand than can be produced excluding FE because I don't know where exactly that fits in the equation.

Ford Maverick Current 2022 Maverick Commodities / Constraints as of Aug 30 1630412801493

When we look at builds that have already been scheduled, there were significantly more builds with LUX scheduled than without..

There was a shortage caused by that artic freeze that hit Texas. It literally broke the plant of US biggest producer of diisocyanate. That's mainly what spray liners are based off of. It also caused boat manufacturers to halt because they made resins there also. I personally was affected since I use urethane to mold small parts, manufacturer I used stopped making it, no resin supply. Just started getting supply about 4 1/2 weeks ago.
wow that is shitty. I do remember that freeze that happened in texas. i do remember that. Didnt think and know it knocked the plant out for so long. That was many months ago if i recall. But still super annoying to live through shortages of everything as you said also urethane shortage, no resin supply. Im thinking unless it ramps up in the couple of weeks from catching up on those back orders of supply as you say youre catching up on some for the past 4.5 weeks ; then its unlikely i see my maverick with the spray in liner until next year sometime. Which personally im not willing to wait that long with no vehicle now and carpooling to my job. Short term, yes, long term like 4 plus months no. I get it may be that way however given that plant being hit how it was. Thanks for explaining a reasoning behind it though! I do appreciate the info.

There seems to be a lot of confusion on LATE AVAILIBILITY items/options too..

Just because Mud Flaps, Rapid Red paint, any other LATE AVAILIBILITY item isn't on this list, doesn't mean it's suddenly available. This list does not include LATE AVAILIBILITY, it includes current CONSTRAINTS.

Jeez, it's almost like there's some sort of global commodity shortage based on a pandemic, natural disasters, a ship stuck in the busiest shipping lane in the world for a month, and unprecedented consumer demand.

Nah, that would be too crazy to believe. It's way more plausible that Ford is just screwing with people on a personal level, cuz it's fun to troll the forums.

Well I guess the disappointment I feel every morning checking my email and not having a email from Ford makes more sense now.

Guess my hybrid XLT luxury package will get made eventually lol.

And just imagine how excited you will feel when that email does show up in your inbox. 😀

Pretty darn. I don't think I've had this much excitement waiting on something since I was a kid waiting in Christmas.

I hope the rationalizing/minimizing posts are more accurate than my internally negative thoughts today.
