They'd be essentially telling you not to bother reordering through them vs a closer dealer at MSRP, unless this PCO is only valid at the original dealer.

@fordvideoguy has stated that he believes the Special Private Offer is transferable to any dealer, but you only maintain your priority at your original dealer.

Well, from what ford keeps telling me, my entire 2021 EB order is a constraint

Very happy for those rolled over that they are substantial private offers!. Best wishes and hope you receive yours sooner than later. Also wonder if Ford will add some things to all models. The flat rate is a good idea, as some drop things as the luxury package to get scheduled and will not be penalized now. Perhaps they listen to @fordvideoguy and made Co-Pilot 360 standard and the 60-40 split of the rear bench seat, and Sync-3 on all models.

I emailed my salesman to set up an appointment to reorder . . . . here is his reply.

Once the order banks open on 9-22-22 , we will rebuild the order as a 2023 and send you a new build sheet to sign. There is no need to come in to the dealership.

There was a $1000 increase for the hybrid not that long ago. That was after the other price increases they did mid-year. So have to assume that is the difference between the hybrid and eco offers. The remaining $1750 is either to help cover the mid-year price increases or the loss of financing deals or plans to raise the ‘23 price or all of the above.

I have not bought a new car since 1999. So I'm a bit out of touch. Could someone please explain what dealer prep is, whether it varies from dealer to dealer, and whether it is negotiable?

I have been told that the order banks for 2023's open on 10/19.

Dealer prep is the dealer getting the truck ready for sale. Cleaning, check fluids, maybe an inspection and test drive. If they don't charge much for it, that's good value. But lots of places it's just a scam to add money in the dealer's pocket. Always worth asking at the dealer what the cost is.

Order banks opening on 10/19 is a new one. Mostly I have heard 9/15. That seems to be a pretty solid rumor but not officially confirmed that I have seen. Who told you 10/19?

$1750 won't come close to covering the price increases, dropped items from Lux Pkg added as stand alone adds, and another year of waiting. If you want to keep your setup as originally ordered in 2021, no way you'll take delivery before Labor Day 2023.

They confirmed my VB XL Hybrid is being rolled over to 2023
The same items about contacting your dealer ...

Explained to person on phone that I have had no contact by Ford (email) since placing order in Oct 2021
and was that the expected response (Would I get an email about the Private Offer)

The person replied that I should not expect an email and to reach out to the dealer..

Got my Special Private Offer Certificate # and expiration of same as 01/03/2023

Reached out to Dealer (George Wall Ford - They have been nice and I expect no issues Since all my conversations and visits have been pleasant and I expect this to be as well.) and waiting for next steps..
